Thinking of applying for university, specifically Mechatronics. Seem to be an interesting mix of maths, electronics and mechanics.
Anyone read this and can gimme some input as to if this is useful to have when applying for an engineer type work.
I live in sweden but am interested in appyling for work elsewhere after finishing my studies.

I'm in my 3rd year of that shit , and it aint goint to swell , mainly cause i'm uninterested and lazy.
Until you get to the Mechatronics stuff (2nd to 3rd year) the rest will be a real drag , and some shit will be very simmilar and you'll wonder why the fuck do you have to take the same shit twice under different names since they share alot of the same stuff.(Sensors and Transducers vs Actuations in Mechatronics). Hopefully you'll get alot more pratical stuff than i have , ALOT more since you'll understand things alot better when you see them happening.
But then again its nice to see a robot that you've programmed or built do it's purpose properly.

well at least I won't feel bad about not paying some college $5000 per semester because I have 0 degrees and not interested in following any educational system

What are you doing now and how long has it been since you left the educational business? Going back to it is really hard, most people underestimate the transition.

Well I've been working since 2006, graduated from high school in 2001. i know the transition is gonna be hellish but I'm gonna read up some math for next year.
Currently I work with hardware/software support and a bit of networking. I got interested in school while reading for the ccna exams. I finished the first, ccent and was gonna do icnd2 but then I figured if Im gonna do the ccna, ccnp and maybe ccie certs then why not apply for a proper program, meet some new people etc
Also I kinda like designing robots. And with the way technology is advancing artifical robots might be very common in the future and Its been one of my dreams to work with those things.

If you have no family to take care of, it should be doable. Keep in mind that going from earning money to having little of it is a huge step. You won't be as free as you are now. Depends on how intesive the study is of course.
As for your initial question, a master degree here in the Netherlands gives a huge advantage when applying for engineering related jobs.

Money isnt that big a deal, I've been saving up abit of cash and plan on selling my car. Good thing about sweden is that I can take a year of from work although its without pay I can still come back if I feel that I cant study etc
Also they have whats called a co-op system in sweden for mechatronics which means that you'll be able to work during the time you study with pay. So you can use all you've learned in practice and get some cash while doing it.
