The first informations about Conviction's successor have been released:

Those of you who liked the look of Conviction in its infancy needn't worry though, some of the original features might see their way into the series yet.
Ubisoft's Patrick Redding and Maxime Beland told Xbox World 360 that many of the things Ubisoft was forced to leave on the cutting room floor may now make their way into Splinter Cell 6 - as well as other new features, including Uncharted 2-style 'abduction moves'.
"There's quite a bit we left out," he said "but we may use those ideas in Splinter Cell 6."
Conviction creative director Maxime Beland expanded with some of the features he was particularly reluctant to lose:
"I wish we'd had time for dragging bodies," he said.
"I wish we could have done what I like to call 'Abduction Moves' too - certainly Uncharted 2 does them very well, where you're in cover and you grab the guy and drag him out of view. That was planned but it's something we had to cut out."
When asked if these kind of features could make it into Fisher's next outing, Redding replied, "That's it yeah."
He added: "Personally I would love for us to look at modes that emphasise puzzle play and navigational gameplay and stuff that's highly objection-based.
"I think what we've done is used Deniable Ops as a way of showcasing a certain style of stealth action and I think we can build on that foundation with additional types of exotic gameplay."
Sounds exciting and if all of those new gameplay elements can be added to the already stellar stealth experience of Splinter Cell: Conviction we think Splinter Cell 6 can be another success. |

I was being serious people. That panther molester is ruining a large chunk of my gaming experience by putting a couple of turds on top of three gems. 2003 is the first time I saved enough money to buy a pc and the first game on it, if you don't count lemmings, worms 2 and monkey island; was Splinter Cell.
While I do realise that it's not the end of the world if the Splinter Cell franchise turns into shit, it doesn't mean I won't be a bit upset about it.
