His continued use of the "translated into white" phrase is racist. There are enough white people who speak in the same retarded manner as the black rappers he is referring to, so calling this "black talk" is just as retarded and tucking your head in the sand.

Yes there are many white and even asian people speaking like that, but still, this form of speech was originally "created" by the black community, therefore it isn't that far fetched to call this black speech.
And despite of some nuances of racism in this clip, which might be traced back to either Maher's personal mentality (which I strongly doubt) or just a wrong choice of words in his act, he is still very right about what he is "criticizing" here, the whole of rap lyrics are just ignorant stupid sexist racism and people who talk like that on their daily lives, are just ridiculous.

Jesus christ, it's a standup act, Maher isn't racist the slightest.

Originally my comment was a bit different, but I edited it in the last minute and forgot to put a face.

The name Jesus Christ is not a proper name, it's a pseudonym to go with the silly biblical story.
If there was such a man, his name would have been Yeshua, and after a bad translation to English, Jesus (initial letter rad as the initial letter of "gem"), but certainly not "Christ".

I don't understand why people keep on mentioning some imaginary person's name right before they make a statement. |
Imaginary? There probably was a Jesus Christ, but he was the equivalent of today's Pastor Phelps. |
There's a lot room to debate about that, it might very well be the case that he never existed in the first place, and was nothing more than a symbol for the creation of Christianity promoted by word of mouth.
There are many historical inconsistencies surrounding the man's existence, but obviously, that if he ever existed he was only like the example you just described.
Anyway, the joke I made a while back can also be referred to people who say, "Oh god, did you know...?"

Was thinking about that myself as well but 1st of all he never mentioned "black talk".
Still this way of speaking is a subculture that is popular in gangs, with rappers, the hiphop scene and with a certain percentage of the Afro-American population.
The phrase "translated into white" might seem racist but is it? - Here I state that using the phrase "translated into American English" would perhaps have been better.
Maher's sketch ridiculed the extreme vulgar language of that subculture.
