@Theescapist
I can probably count them on one hand, these amazing games. And a handful of good games hardly makes me addicted. Make no mistake, I'd love to be addicted again, but I don't see this happening.

gave myself a 7, because there isnt a day i dont check to see what new games are out to download, and i flip on tf2 2 or 3 times a day, and yeah, i still have split/second on my hdd, WHAT OF IT... i still play 5 or so rounds of that a day...

but thankfully there are no shitty mmos sucking up my life at the moment. still waiting for lotr:o to show its little gimpy hobbit face before i see if i get caught in that fucking mmo trap again...

I gave myself a 3. The last ~2 years my gaming 'addiction' has constantly dropped. I still enjoy games but I don't play nowhere near the amount I used to.

Quote:
The term addiction is also sometimes applied to compulsions that are not substance-related, such as problem gambling and computer addiction. In these kinds of common usages, the term addiction is used to describe a recurring compulsion by an individual to engage in some specific activity, despite harmful consequences, as deemed by the user himself to his individual health, mental state, or social life.

Voted 1.
I have completely lost interest in games theese days. Its all just the same stuff in a different setting or with a slight twist.
It's very rare that something truely unique comes along that makes me think "now thats fucking awesome".

this^
the games that I was hyped about in the last 5 years for me..
when I got them, was like find out out you won a new Ferrari, only to get a new die cast model of one mailed to you.

I can count on 2 hands the games I was excited about in the last 5 years..and can count on one hand, with fingers left over, the ones that didn't horribly let me down out of those.

I gave myself a 5.

If you asked me this question when I was 15 it would have been a goddamn 20. Now, I hardly have any time left to enjoy gaming, I'm lucky if I'm able to get in a couple hours in every other day.
