I connected my LCD TV to my PC using the HD4850s HDMI output, but how do I get it to work at 24p? Is this even possible?

You mean 720p24 or 1080p24 I assume?

Are you entirely sure your TV has proper support for it as well (i.e. 72/120/240 Hz to begin with)?

If you do, then you can just go into CCC and force the resolution + refreshrate there under display options- they removed the over/underscan IIRC. I would test it on my TV, but I cba dragging my PC down for that, and my HTPC has a GF9400 in it so

That's the problem, I can't select 24/48Hz and adding a custom resolution seems impossible too. using external apps like Powerstrip apparently blocks HDMI sound ouput for some reason.
