Anyone enlighten me on this "item can be traded" stuff when selling on marketplace, I really think items you sell for RTW need to be bound to the purchaser or can be traded but not duplicated as a RTW bought item.
Is this the case? |
You can copy your own item multiple times, buyers cant, they can only use it for themselfs.
So ur safe into making your own market there

man, I've been watching this game for a little while now and am really not sure if I want to spend money on it. The game sounds awesome when I read about it, but then I watch some reviews and see gameplay and I'm slightly turned off... I might wait a while and see how it turns out in a few months....
Anyway, had a quick question? How do the subscriptions work for this? Is there a monthly fee? I read something about action hours.... wtf is that? Pay for hours instead of paying for a whole month?

Well, for the subscription, you get two choices, there's the normal monthly subscription, then there's action hours as you stated. There are 3 districts, 1 social, 2 action. You can stay in social for however long you want, it does not use up your "action hours" BUT when you're in either action district, it uses your "action hours".
I.E. you have 50 action hours, and you play 3hrs in either action district, then it reduces your action hours to 47. You can then go to social district, and go AFK for 10hrs+ and your action hours would still stay at 47hrs.
You buy action hours/subscription through RTW points which you can get from selling in the auction house or buying with real money.

right, i only brought 200 points for a start, the other 700 i got by auctions
now i have 2 months olaytime for 200 brought points
best way to earn some points is to design some really cool shit and sell it cheap multiple times or sell high class weapons/upgrades *which is almost impossible, cause you need them also to beat the other high class ones*
im happy that i got almsot early monolith 3 + an OCA NFCP 2 with Pray & Spray 2/Eagleeye 2 ^^ Its a godlike combination with this OP weapon, had last night one match with a 22/5 ratio 
@ tw1st: i was at first also not in mood to test it, but then on an boring weekend i thought "now give it a try" and i purchased it. i joined the servers and started the tutorial, this one gives you the basics about what you can do but it gives you a shit about the story or fighting moves.
i switched to the real servers where the action was going on. i had some missions and played a couple of hours and was also raging about the other players, i had no fun in playing more of this game till i saw and forum thread where 2 guys created a fun clan. i joined this one and can tell you, its the funniest game now ever, i enjoy it really but i wont offer more money for this game in playtime thats for sure.
so, when you are alone with no static friends to play this game, then you should refuse to buy it, but if you have, you should instant. *ok, maybe not instant, cause at the moment there are 2 leagues of players, starter and pro ^^*

be warned, I suck at this game..getting too old to have reflexes for FPS combat like I use to
we are also on my TS server (as the ingame voice chat sucks..I cant pick my headphones for just voice output)

If you can live with the fact that 90% of firefights boil down to two things:
1. Did you make it to the objective/camp spot before your opposition.
2. Do you have more/better upgrades/slots than your opposition.
From a sheer combat perspective, this game is piss poor. It CAN be fun when playing with friends, but even then it's frustration over fun most of the time.

I steam rolled the game in beta, and shelved it quickly, I tried it out after launch and even with the issues of a few days old mmo release (but still pretty damn smooth roll out really) I actually find the game very fun indeed!
I wont whine here about the matchmaking etc because its on the fix list if you look at the dev thread regarding whats coming/idea for changes.. But all in all most fun...
Note that alot of people but not all, depending on ones setup it seems get drop outs with desktop crashes, I myself have been trying to get as few as I can with hunting down the problem, but majority seems to be coding with the UE3 engine (no suprise there).
I can play for 10hrs straight and crash out, or 1hr and crash or login and crash. It happens but so what fingers crossed it gets sorted in 1.30 patch thats on the way.
