I'm using Maxell 1-8x and TDK 1-4x. DVD-r of course. I tried to burn on Sony DVD+R but my xbox didn't like that. Besides that, I have never had any problems with the stuff I burnt. Burning in 2x.

Anything with G04 or Ritek dye has worked great for me, I haven't burned one coaster with that type of disk yet. Currently I'm using the RiDisk brand as they are pretty cheap and work well for xbox games or for movie disks.

i had used Princos...i couldn't tell you how many of those i went through until i finally got a bad batch of 100, they had worked great for Xbox games and movies. but i decided to avoid the possible trend and started using Taiyo Yuden DVD-R. they're more expensive but TYs are quality. i would have probably stuck with the Princos if were it not for the bad batch...but much like DVD-Rs, i will not be burned twice. =] also, my burner is a Pioneer 106D

I've been using DVD-R's from staples [office supply store]. As with some people on here, I have not had any luck with DVD+R working on my box. Most of the plus media I bought did not work at all. I can burn these staple's DVD-R's @ 8x and they work great. I have a sammy [samsung] drive in my box.

Maxell dvd+r 1-8x speed which i burn at 12x speed on my pioneer 108 ... they are absolutely faultless every time on my xbox so far (brand new of 3 weeks) and ps2 @ 9 months old, even gta sa and mercenaries with constant streaming from the disc work perfect. I tried a dvd-r once with gta sa and it was really bad with bumping into undrawn scenery problems. Anaway i'm glad i can burn at full speed as i can't imagine burning games for over an hour at a time at 1x, thats got to bad for dvd writers, at 12x 4gigs+ only takes @ 5-6 minutes. I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

+r discs will NOT work with some models of Xbox so if your into sharing your lovely d'loads with your friends then use -r always. Any discs using GENUINE 'Ritec' dye are best for ALL forms of back ups including standard data and especially movies. At the mo I use the purple top RiDisc *4 speed and have never had a failure even when multi - tasking on my PC whilst burning ! Good business is where you find it !
