anyone got it working properly on XP ??

normally you can't install the game cause setup won't start
tried copying the files in GRIMDATA to a separate folder from both iso's , added 1.01 (or whatever version it is) patch and it still didnt do jack . apparently i haven't found a no-cd crack for , but even with cd1 mounted , the game starts but before anything is shown it crashes , even with 98 or 95 emulation ..

frigging great game.

So many good nostalgic memories, they don't make adventure games this good any more

Should work fine under xp, you need the patch because today's processors are much faster and the elevator puzzle would pass you by Laughing

Best adventure game ever Smile still remeber the actors voices.

If you cant install it you should try to follow this guide: http://www.grim-fandango.com/compatibility.php
Not only does it allow you to install it on newer systems but you can run without the cds.
Installing it right now under Vista64.

I haven't played this in a VERY long time... but seriously? there are puzzles that can effectively be game-breaking if you don't do them in the right order? :\ :\ :\

and you can't finish one puzzle if you don't use a bottlenecking cpu program , it was made for a 133mhz processor not for a 3ghz with 4 cores

Last time I played this game I used the Grim Fandango Launcher from here: http://quick.mixnmojo.com/software .

I had trouble with the conveyor belt puzzle then though, so I stopped playing, good to know that limiting the cpu speed helps. I really should give it a try again.
