So, after upgrading my rig I noticed the following problem. I tried 2 games(Saints Row 2 and Assassin's Creed 2) and in both of them, as soon as I turn the AA up, the image gets fucking HORRIBLE. It didn't happen on my older rig. Here, let me post you a screen.

It's seems it's only happening with AA x8 or better.

(Since I already uninstalled POS that is Saints Row 2, the screens are from AC2)

No AA

AA 2x

AA 4x

AA 8x (that's when things get fucked up, check the horrible cape AA and everything, it looks like in 640x480)

AA 8x once again

I have no idea what's happening. Confused

What resolution do you use? I never feel the need to go beyond 4x with 1920x1200.

Might want to try some more games and/or different driver revisions tho.

1440x900, and I rarely go over 2x AA to be honest, but still, it didn't happen at all on my old rig but it's happening now.

I'm at 1440x900.

Lol, problem solved. Installed newer drivers. I just thought that because the 460 GTX was released like a week ago it would have the newest drivers on attached CD, turns out I was wrong.

Heh, I never even second-touch the drivers' disk once it's out of the box. I always go straight over the manufacturer's official website and snatch the newest drivers. Smile

Yeah, I always did that too, but 460 GTX was released on 12 June, and I got the rig on 18th. You'd think they should give you the newest drivers on the fucking CD, lol. Laughing

That'd be a first, it's like they print those things ages in advance JUST so the drivers are outdated fresh from the box.

Haha yeah, I haven't used driver CD's at all in the last decade. Had proper broadband by that time and I was running Win2K, for which there would usually be no drivers on the CD until XP came out
