I think I'm gonna stay away from the forums/blogs etc. for the next couple days. I got a feeling there will be another spolier storm just like with Heavy Rain.

who cares, they are engine based (that 3d used in breaks during missions) which obviously SUCK as they all should be CGI prerendered, with amazing detail and quality.

compare that slow-mo hydralisk that appears in front of karrigan to the hydralisk in this movie - ( i think its safe to watch, not much of a spoilers here, just generic 'were here to rescue you' shit) - the difference is mindblowing as this second hydralisk simply sucks comparing to the one from the trailer.

If it's just the installer blocking and it uses MPQ (Not the digital download MPQE - encrypted - files.) then unpacking them manually might work assuming you have a key for activation when starting the game or rather if the server allows it.
(Worked with the beta versions though without a key playing was of course not fully possible but it might work if the retail version can be unpacked and the key can be used assuming battle.net 2.0 accepts it.)

http://www.zezula.net/en/mpq/download.html
(The listfiles version and then the beta update to handle the newest version of the files, actual unpacking and such shouldn't be a issue.)

Is it used for checking date? May be it's possible to run local hpps server with such file but different date? Smile

it also provides the authentication codes for the installer, you will still need a valid key for your region to install

For people bored I can recommend getting the build order testers and practicing in a few general ones to get timing and such figured out. With a good build opening you can pretty much get to gold-lowplat without having a lot of "broad" SC2 knowledge.

Basically if you have the SC2 beta just download the map here:

http://www.sc2mapster.com/maps/yabot/

you'll get a pack with several maps, just drag the map and release it on the SC2 shortcut in your desktop. It will then start the map and you can play, you do same thing with SC2 replays if you want to watch them offline.

It seems that all you'd need is a spoofed eu.battle.net host giving an earlier date. That could be done on the local machine.

As already stated earlier, the data is encrypted, the host gives you the decryption key, therefor "spoofing" the host won't do anything but let you go to the next stage in the installation, you won't actually be able to install the game.
