i dont care who stole from whom, 99% people knows 1st crack as 'liberty' crack. it works perfectly and appears to be less problematic than reloaded one.
It isn't "problematic", the crack works fine. The install process is a bit messed up, yet it's easily resolvable if you know anything about batch files and command prompt commands...
Have to say the game would be way more fun if there would only be the cutscenes, no actual gameplay
my thoughts exactly. extremely good presentation and nice bells and whistles, but the gameplay seems kind of stale to me. granted, i am only near the beginning of the campaign so more advanced units and so on might make it more interesting.
i guess if i had enjoyed the gameplay in sc1 i would be enjoying this a lot more as well.
I bought the CE version and have to say, the game is even better than expected IMHO. The campaign is just awesome, from the visuals and cinematics to the presentation and all the "stuff" that goes on in your Battlecruiser, like upgrades and such, I'm pretty blown away by the overall quality of the campaign. I really love how you earn money and use that to buy all the tech upgrades. No doubt the campaign itself has a ton of replay value, as you try to get achievements and unlock more and more upgrades.
Another thing that really impressed me was all of the multiplayer maps. Considering the beta only had 1 6 player map and 1 8 player maps, I was rather shocked to find 8 of each in the retail, not to mention a lot more 2 and 4 players maps (and even one 3 player map). All in all, I think I counted 38 more maps than what beta had, so that is very impressive and gives the game a lot of depth and longevity. Add in the fact that you can publish maps through the map editor and considering some of the early stuff we've seen already, such as chess and a "metal slug" type of game, the options with this game seem endless.
I think the review by NZGamer pretty much hit it dead on. This game easily meets and even exceeds my expectations and I think that this game could possibly break the metascore record of 96 set by a couple of games. NZGamer gave it a 98, with the only thing not getting a 100 was the graphics (got a 95) and I would have to agree. This game is pretty close to perfection in my book and likely will be GOTY. No doubt Blizzard delivered the goods on SC2. For once, we have a PC game worth $60 and hell, the CE was worth $100 to me. Amazing game if you are in to RTS's.
Amm I found something... actually you can play RLD's release skirmish (at least theoretically) in the editor you can make a map and "test it" make 1player human and 2player Computer (I even think you can select its difficulty, just havent found how yet). BTW I havent found any skirmish maps in my install dir (I think they are downloaded from Bnet) and if my theory is correct, if those people would share their downloaded maps we could open them through the editor and play them skirmish

Thnx, Skirmisch is the only thing I play when the game gets old, and LAN offcourse......
How to start the mission from the autosave during it ?
I mean, if your main character dies during a mission after it autosaves, how can you start the mission from that point ?
click load last save
but damn the aliasing in this game is shitty... they set you up to ultra and you would think you get AA but noooo
26 missions hmmm didn't they say this game will have 30 ? or those 4 missions from the challenge stages are counted to the 30 maps
oh and yeah skirmish is available after you get maps from battle.net or make them
funny how derps talk about some dopes 'liberty' thinking there are teh scene when they just took the p2p guest client files from p2p and uploaded them with a TAG to usenet
o and one more thing RLD should really do a NFO fix they messed up those instructions real good ... why not disable net , just install by clicking on the yellow triangle , punch in the code, wait 8min for the install , close the auto-update screen with the 'X', decompress crack to HDD, click the update.bat [not copy it] ...wait at it updates , Then copy the files and start the game... as a extra add in Host Battle.net ip to not call home
AMD, or ATI, has made an official statement regarding the handling of antialiasing in the just released StarCraft II. ATI confirms that it has chosen not to enable antialiasing in the driver, since the performance hit is too great.
Competitor NVIDIA has the same problem, but has still chosen to enable antialiasing with its drivers, which renders great performance hits, but at the same time gives the users a choice.
ATI feels the hit is too great, but says that it hopes to offer support for antialiasing in StarCraft II at a later stage, and with a less significant drop in performance.
This is how AMD defends its measures in a statement to HardwareCanucks;
AMD constantly strives to deliver great gaming experiences for our customers and the upcoming launch of Starcraft II is no exception. Blizzard’s focus on incredible game play for all, means that gamers using ATI Radeon(tm) products can enjoy smooth HD gameplay and industry leading image quality with our current generation of ATI Radeon products as well as many of our past generation cards.
In discussions during the development of StarCraft II, Blizzard indicated that they would not initially include options to set levels of in-game anti-aliasing (“AA”). This meant that support for AA within StarCraft II would only be made possible by including it in the driver, an approach that could significantly impact performance.
Some third party reviews of the Starcraft II beta echo our concerns that AA can cause gameplay impairment. In these reviews, the third parties found that 4x AA led to a reduction in fps rendering at lower screen resolutions, which only became more noticeable at larger resolutions.
After evaluating our options, our engineering team opted not to provide AA support for StarCraft II within the Catalyst Control Center, even though the competition has included AA support in their driver at launch.
We are committed to making AA perform at an acceptable level before we release it to our customers. We will continue to work with Blizzard on this matter and hope to offer our customers an acceptable AA solution at a later date.
In 2010 pure PC game doesn't support proper AA .. is it ATI or NVIDIA to blame or Blizz..heh..
Nice sp campaign thou,im enjoying it.. But im not interested in mp at all...

Now I have to download it... Might end up LOVING it after all.
j/k
Simple question: Did you like the Warcraft3+Frozen Throne campaign? Did you like their story ingame cutscenes and stuff? If the answer is yes, I'll assure you, you'll gonna like the SC2 campaign too.
Wow, so when DoW2 came out, it was criticized for having stereotypical voice-actors play the Marines. Lets see how the fake redneck accents and god-awful voice acting is praised here.

Yes, I did. In 2002. In 2003.
I'm playing this, and honestly, I am bored to death. It is just not interesting. The awful voice acting and the retarded unit responses on every click just makes it even worse. (Yes, I am aware it is possible to turn them off.)

sc2 its like firefly ... but i have 3 problems with this sc2:
those voice actors just read they script... with no emotions..."We are under attack by zerg" said a marine in a voice like he would have some tea party
no AA ... yeah you can force it but then all textures blink like crazy and go into no clip mode
no game speed bar
but the music is nice , all cut scenes are on the engine [except the trailer ] , campaign is nonlinear with different choices... dunno if they change the story ending of this Episode 1 of 3 ... but then i never liked the marine campaign only the Zerg one
Firefly was hardly rednecks in space. Oh, and actors and story were actually good on that one also.
Oh, and they didn't build a base and harvest for resources and pop new units every time they went to a new planet.
The Terrans always had some Wild West thing to them. The sleeper ships that colonized the Koprulu sectors were full of prisoners, not posh aristocrats.
I'm playing the RELOADED version, with no issue so far. It's awesome! I might buy the American version (even the CE, perhaps!) once one of my relatives goes to the States, since the Latin American one blows hard.
PS: The point-and-click nature of the intermissions reminds me not of any adventure game, but the Wing Commander series! Get it right, chumps.
