By NFSU, do you mean Underground or Undercover? Because Undercover has the same shitty driving mechanics and same shitty engine. EA had to remove shadows and dust from Undercover in the patch to make it playable.

Runs fine here on e8400, 4gb RAM, gtx260, 1680x1050 maxed.
I haven't been able to play with anyone. Also, why does it take so long for effects to activate ? I don't get it.

effects build up over time, on my 360pad i just use the direction keypad and keep flicking between the 2 sets available until i see one ready for use and then fire it off..

That's what (whatever) news site wrote at the time (post-pro-shit failure) (ie. EA had bought three properties, NFS:Online among others from other developers to rescue their franchise after firing the NFS developers).

Appdata perhaps or ProgramData folders maybe?
(C:\Users\Username\Appdata or C:\ProgramData\ some subfolder like EA or something.)
What size is the downloaded isntaller and can it be unpacked or extracted (Universal Extractor 1.6.1 for example.) in any way, would show if there's more to it and maybe the scripts where it installs it as well.
(Inno and Installshield usually leaves such stuff.)

Yeah, it's up, but don't expect much. There are no new cars since last betas, and you can only progress to 10th lvl. If you want to go further, you have to buy starter pack, for $20.

The game looked like ass and was buggy as hell for the 15 minutes that I tried to play it. NFS: Shift is pretty good, but this game is ass.

I was a beta tester for this game from the start. I was also a beta tester for CitiesXL. I have to say, the developer feedback, features added, server problems, etc, felt EXACTLY the same for both games. Both had very little feedback from the devs, both had most of the options locked the entire time (no control options, seriously?) and both didn't really listen to the testers and just did their own thing.
And we all know what happened to CitiesXL

So play Most Wanted, Carbon or Undercover (preferably only the first two), they have more cards, MW and Carbon even support mods now and you get a better experience. This is buggy, laggy and poop all-around.

Not to mention i had enough of all the crap powerups spammed in every game. Also woo, as if i am playing bumping cars, every retard wants to ram you out of his way.. which would be fine.. if there was even a hint of realistic collision or something remotely similar...
