3. Copy update to updates folder and place the .bat file there too....then run it
4. Copy other files in directory and overwrite them
5. Play!

Instructions say you need to copy update to install dir and then run the bat. But the problem here is that uncracked Blizzard Updater.exe won't be able to patch the game. For this to work, you need to crack Blizzard Updater.exe, then do update, and then crack all other files.

Wrong! put the .bat file in the update folder, reloaded forgot to say that. Rolling Eyes

No idea man, sorry. It runs and looks good on my 4850 with 10.5.

I had that problem with other games, and was puzzled about it for a good while.

I think it's one of the mip-mapping settings in the Catalyst Control Panel. I don't remember exactly what it was, but try setting everything to Application-controlled, or the lowest setting if that option isn't available. Some games don't react well to ATI's forced special options (which more often than not offer but a negligible improvement in quality).

OK, I finally got the game installed and running after the 3rd time. The trick was the leave your internet connection on the whole time. If you disconnect from the network, it won't install properly.

But, how do you save your game? I can't find any save/load options in game, between missions, or at the main menu when the game starts.

You can't save manually with the stolen liberty crack although the game does save periodically autmatically. To load a save game go to your save game folder and double click a save you want to load the game from there.

You can manual save and reload any save game with the Reloaded crack.

Installing liberty then replacing with reloaded crack works fine too without having to reinstall the game.

I get some sort of memory leak on this game. Missions start to chug after 2-3 are completed. Eventually causing a crash. Annoying but could just be my setup and still doesn't distract too much from this game. Game is worth buying anyway if you like this type of rts.

I'm using the reloaded crack. There are no options to save that I could find anyway. I hit F10 to go to the menu and the no save/load options. Quit campaign and exit game and options

My friend bought the game, he installed it and created an account. I then took his DVD, installed it on my computer and logged once on his account, went back to the menu and played the campaign as a Guest while he was playing online. I downloaded reloaded for nothing Smile.

I can't help you there i'm afraid.. both the options to save/load are there in game or should be there if your using the reloaded.

All i can suggest is you double check that all the files/folders are in the correct location they should be to see if that helps.

Sorry, my mistake: it's actually the other way round with the mip-mapping slider. Set it to the highest quality.

When you guys let it update online, doesn't it alert Blizz that you have the game? Also, couldn't they change the update so that it breaks the crack? I guess then a new crack will come out....

Got a problem guys, I installed the reloaded release last night and played through the first couple of missions. Now I tried and can't continue from last night. The only thing that works is the start campaign button.
So, how the hell do I continue from the last save game?
I know, it's probably a noobish question, so make fun all you want.

EDIT- nevermind, figured it out, so fucking embarrased right now

This is the same problem I'm having. There's no save/load buttons with the reloaded crack. Are you using the cloneDVD? I'm using that with the reloaded crack.

That's a work-around. And I still can't save and load in the middle of a mission and makes me dependant on autosaves. Others say that the reloaded crack should give you save/load buttons. I'm wondering if you need the full reloaded release for this and not the clonedvd + reloaded crack.

I was disappointed after starting this up yesterday. The engine is pretty limited in the way it allows you to zoom and rotate your view/camera. I feel "boxed in" and, therefore, struggle to get immersed. Yes, some will praise it for keeping it old school and true to the original. I won't. I suppose more modern titles spoiled me.

As a matter of fact I'm gonna call your method wrong becasue it does nothing for me. Do you think console popping up for a split second updated your game?

Another way to install is just not to copy neither update.bat nor updates dir.
Run the update.bat from where it is, and it will work.

What is important to know, is that update.bat needs two things. It needs cracked Blizzard Updater.exe in Support dir relative to its location and it needs Updates dir relative to its location.

So it can either be installed from where it is (support and updates dir are already there). Or it can work from game install dir location, but only if Blizzard Updater.exe is cracked first.

The one involving ambushing dominion trains, it's fucking ridiculous. At 3th(out of 6...) train they already have matching army escorting the trains, and even stronger one atacking my base.

I can't stop playing it tho due to The Firefly vibe it's giving me Sad

I figured it out your problem. You updated the game by copying the whole Support folder an not just Blizzard Updater.exe alongside with Updates dir and Update.bat. During the update cracked Battle.net.dll gets overwritten in the Support folder (alongside with some other files there).

So after the patching is done you have to copy the Support folder into the install dir once again.

Saving/loading works perfectly with RELOADED version, for those who it doesn't messed up their updating and cracking.
