You're an idiot. Software is perfectly capable of affecting hardware. You can write programs that will unbalance hard drives by purposely writing in certain spots. You can generate excessive heat on video cards by pushing them too far, which is what the menu does. Now it likely won't damage your card since your machine will shut itself off if it gets too hot, but if were to somehow go beyond those limits before it shut off, it could damage it.
My 7950 GTX on my laptop will overheat on any game that has advanced effects enabled (like bloom). Disable bloom, you can play for hours, turn on bloom it's dead in 20 minutes, that is all software. |

I fix them as a side line job everyones fucking laptop gets hot because the majority of them are crammed into tiny spaces where funny enough heat does not like to congregate..
The whole point is the card cant be damaged by pushing it over the limit due to your system warning you about it, its like saying your cpu runs hot and hits 85c and does not shut the pc down. Who's fault is that? its certainly not software its all hardware driven and sensory..
And to make another point about sc2's menu "problem" who the fuck leaves themselves in the menu of a game long enough to make your card run at 100% usage without even being in 3d clock settings anyhow?
if your not playing the game fucking close it down. |

cool, that actually worked!
but, the crack still doesn't work as even when the keytro says registered, the game still says that you need authorization to play the game, even when you try to play as guest.

Where are the menu files store? If I had time, I would just take a peek at what RLD changed so that I could automatize the process of selecting guest login and then one of the three.

Wow, you've got some serious rage issues. Someone hit a nerve with the part time best buy jack-off who thinks he knows everything?
Under ideal conditions normal ventilation and fans are enough.
But there are plenty of factors that can change that. Ambient room temperature, dust, sensor issues, etc.
blizzard isn't going to just issue warnings like this for no reason. They've got people far smarter than you working there.
You might want to get yourself one of those little stress balls.

Regarding the Keytro, i'm sure it's just a prank, 'cause when you click F2 the text changes to "Skidrow Sucks". So i'm sure it's just another cracktro, they just wanted everyone to see their feeling for Skidrow.

completely uncracked and had some wholly uncalled-for patching to the
original game files (much like the web 'crack' having been around for
some time) thereby modifying in-game menus.
We felt this game deserves a proper release, so here's ours which:
-enables you to play all single-player missions including AI ('skirmish') ones
-does NOT alter ANY of the original game files
-will (most likely) work for future game updates
-lets you use your legally bought game key at any time
-contains a nifty 'keytro' (keygen/cracktro mix) for your enjoyment. ;)
Install Notes
1) Unrar, burn or mount ISO
2) Install the game while online (or use xRELxRELxRELxRELxRELxRELxRELxREL
when prompted for an auth key while being offline) and skip the serial
activation prompt later on
3) Update the game online
4) Run \Razor1911\SC2_COPY.exe on the DVD to install additional content
5) Run \Razor1911\keytro.exe and hit F2 to activate your game offline
6) Enjoy the full single-player experience playing in guest mode
P.S. Owners of legit game keys may use our keytro in just the same
way in order to prolong their offline activation period indefinitely.

there's not much you can do wrong, the crack simply doesn't work for some.
if i click on "play as guest", it just says that i have to authorize with a battle.net account.
i'm not the only one who gets this, so the crack should be nuked/propered.

I had the same problem on my brothers account (we use different user account on the same computer). Problem is either you didn't run the keytro properly or the crack is shit. I got it working last night. Using the saves from the Reloaded release and it works without a hitch.
Performance is still shit tough, a bit sad since the game graphics aren't that great (the game itself no the cinematics). I'm at the last missions and the performance plummets to abysmal level.
Running it on a AMD 5200+ @ 2,8GHz, 2GB RAM and a ATI 5770.(high textures, overall ultra). The funny part is the game recommended ultra textures first time I ran it. Pretty disappointing really cause the last missions on char are pretty nice(playing it on hard btw).

Maybe its the problem for some if they use only the Razor crack and not the game. Its 100% that the Razor crack wont work on LIBERTY version dont know why but it is so., dont know how its with the Reloaded version. I downloaded the whole Razor version of the game instaled it normaly but didnt use the keytro.exe, so I think its not of any good to get the game to work normal tested all SP modes all work normal. The only problem is that you need to move your save games to another folder to work on the Razor version but not to hard to do it.
How do you login as guest? I don't see that option anywhere.
When yur ingame and it says login to battle.net you will see in lower right corner the button Play as Guest.

Yeah they know that people are inherently stupid, the issue only exists because people are stupid enough to drool over 99999 FPS in menus instead of running Vsync to prevent tearing, and they know people are stupid enough not to maintain their computers well enough.
Anything else is as was said, shoddy components.

I have the reloaded version + tryed the razor crack. Everything remains the same, no Skirmisch.
Maybe you must have the whole Razor package to get it work.

You must just copy all contents from Crack folder then run update.bat. And then run starcraft2.exe. In instructions say that you must copy first Update folder and run update.bat and then copy rest contents. NO. Copy all folders FIRST.

I played the first clone dvd release, with loading campaign directly from 'my documents', where the saves are located. Worked like a charm and since im only interested in SP, not MP, i thought i will finish it and wont need a better version, but after some 12-13 missions, i ran it yesterday and it did a NEW update after which it wont load the games anymore.
Is there any way to turn auto update off cause i dont want to download other version and have the same shit happen again?
Also did anyone have the same problem and did it get working with his old saves with rld or rzr versions?

Yeah i have my old saves unavaible for razros release - thank god i finished the campgain before putting razor on :}
We need to move the saves somewhere?
also - clicking each time the guest mode, then selecting profiles, meh looks like a downgrade from the previous release :}

To get saves working, move all the files inside Documents\Starcraft II\Saves to Accounts\0\2-S2-0-1 of which ever one you have there, and login with that guest account.
