It has been reported that Microsoft intent to make an announcement between now and August 2009. This highly anticipated announcement is going to give some basic details of the games developments, some news on new features and a possible release date.

First: date in your post says august 2009. I don't know if your time machine is broken, but this is 2010.

Don't create topics for games when there's no significant clue (as in leaks, screenshots, interviews, release dates, etc) that the game might be in development.

Not to mention that Ensemble Studios is no more, so any new AoE won't be the same.

Maybe we'll be able to play it on the awesome 360, so we can use the superior control scheme of the console controllers! One can only dream. ^^
