The demo is on Steam (As the game is via Steam.) and it's still locked down and can't be accessed, X360 or PS3 demos are (Will be?) on LIVE and Sony networks but I don't think those can be accessed either.
Well that's nothing new then. We've seen better video of the whole Buzzsaw mission already a year ago at E3. Though they've changed the season it takes place in.
Looks great, but wtf, they didn't even put an entire mission in the demo? Just one little chunk and that's it? Kind of really disappointing! Is the game that short that it would be too much to ask for a complete mission in the demo?

Who cares really. Should be enough to judge the quality of the game. Not that we need 10 minute demos when we got Iso demos to do it properly.
This is not a 10 min demo, this is a 3 min demo. 1m to get a feel for the driving, the rest is useless because there is nothing else to do while driving but to get to the mission, and then pathetic 2 min shooting portion of the mission. Sad, really. Why they even bother?

So basically the demo is something like....benchmark lol
Well some magazine tested it and it ran good for them on modest hardware specs.
Then again, the same bla bla bla was said for GTA4 PC before release, and we all know how that ended up.

Yup.. same with the early videos of Crysis, all running with detail not even seen in the final release AND with a fluid 60fps. Seriously; I either want those review copies.. or I want the future-based PC rigs the games were displayed on
Pfft don't get me started on Crysis... It was supposed to run 60fps smooth on 7900 GTX with max details (from interviews with Cevat "O'Rly?" Yerli). At the end it ran smooth alright, but more like 5fps.
But with GTA4 it was a lot more blatant than this. They supposedly ran near-final code, and took it "up to 2560x1600" and it ran smooth.

Have you ever tried Saints Row 2? GTA IV seemed silky smooth if compared to that..
That's why CryTek are the biggest scammers in the industry mate. Do you remember the gameplay vids they kept releasing up until the game came out? It looked GORGEOUS and ran sublimely.................... and yeah, we know how that turned out. Even TODAY, with the absolute fucking top-end gaming rig, you can't get 60 fluid on max settings. Hardware available today is magnitudes more powerful than back then. So what the fuck happened?
Can we say; time-lapse videos?
But yeah, GTA4 is another culprit - though in this instance, I not only blame Cockstar, but also the lying cockstains that are the reviewers who made the claims you're speaking of.
@sabin
Exactly. The original video (which positively shocked the press) was shown at the GDC06 and ran at 60 fps. Needless to say that the game has never looked that good..
Do you remember the "exclusive DX10 features" unlockable modifying the .ini files?
