It's not to say SC2 was a bad game, though. I really enjoyed the SP campaign..

Not bad? It's pretty great game, IMHO.

Still, design wise, it's more like Starcraft 1.5, then Starcraft 2.

Kinda similar to how Heroes of Might and Magic 5 can be perceived when compared to HOMM3.

First I downloaded it thinking I would give it a whirl despite me usually hating RTS games. Played it for 2 hours and decided to buy it through g2play.net. This is the first RTS game I've ever bought if the Total War series doesn't count. I love the story, the RPG elements/upgrades and the battle.net service. Definitely worth the 40 or so Euro.

It reminded me of all the people who enjoyed Invisible War without having played the original Deus Ex.

I had the pleasure to spot some of them in an Italian forum Laughing

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty - Patch 1.0.2

Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where campaign mission victories would not always trigger properly.
Fixed an issue where some players were unable to access single-player features.

P.S.
Still working with Razor1911 guest mode.

I just loaded it up tonight and cannot access my saved games, telling me that I need to connect to Battle.Net to register my account to play offline.

EDIT: I relaunched the Rzr cracks and it works again.

So, anyone else need to relaunch the Keytro in order to launch the game? Everytime I try to launch the game before the keytro, I get the same Battle.net registration message. Pretty damn annoying. Is there something I should be blocking in the hosts file?

I don't think it has anything to do with the game having online access but more with your system and the keytro not being able to write the license key permanently into your registry.

But you'd think you could figure out as much as to test it with the network cable unplugged to be sure.

After playing for a bunch of hours I can only say one thing, if you liked Starcraft then you'll like this because it's just more of the same but with upgraded graphics. Story is awesome so far and I like the missions you get to play but I wouldn't buy this game for the single-player cause I'm a bit reluctant to boot it up again to continue my last save game.

In conclusion, it's more of the same....5 years too late. Crying or Very sad

Same here, even though I liked the sp campaign, I'm struggling to load my last save.

Agreed so why it has taken 5 years to make?
I find the game very overrated.
Impossible to counter hordes of enemy's that rush your base.

you right.
next month's/year's and the other campaings will comes, obliviusly stand alone to squeeze some more money.

How does standalone allows them to squeeze more money? Shouldn't they sell expansion packs to force people to buy the 1st in order to play the others?

you realy think the ppls(or fanboy, whatever) that were waiting out the store at the midnight for the launch of the game, are not buying the stand alone expansions?
good luck with that! Very Happy

It costs 40€ everywhere here in Germany. Why use some shop that you don't even know? Surely it can't cost much more in croatia?

Any way to make the achievements to work? I am using Razor "crack". Achievements are a very important part of the game and is a little annoying making the achievement and it stay grayed.

Well, I remember a lot of pirated games with achievements working, example, all Live (Microsoft) games. I bet there are a way to activate achievements in SCII, cracking "something", but I am not cracker.

This game will need a good crack anyway, to allow multiplayer in private servers, etc. I imagine.

I guess they waited so long so they can create good grafics and wait for another 10 years to create/release starcraft 3.
