??? You just said a GBA costs $80 and the 256mbit card (32mb) costs $100 = a total of $180... !!!!!

You can get a Used GP32 with a 128MB Card (1gbit) for $90 !!! (Proof) - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=187&item=8173311163

So as you can see, the GP32 is Much better value for money and if you want to upgrade your space it only costs you $20 for a new 128MB card ( compaired to the $180 it would if you wanted one for the GBA ) Smile

so now you cant deny that the GP32 is overall cheaper and better Cool Cool

no, I was compairing if you wanted to have 128MB of space like I can get for the GP32 for $20 it would cost $180 for the GBA (Thats if you want 128MB which is highly recommended)

Overall Even if you just want it for Emulation the GP32 is still the way to go Smile

Ill get the Big list of Emus for the GP32 later Smile

heh, some of the replies here are pathetic so i figured i should register and get some facts straight. first off, i have been a nintendo fanboy for ages now and been a homebrew coder on various gameboy systems for like 7 years now.

anyway mcchart, even if you love your gba as much as you seem to do you should try to be objective. some things you said are just hillarious:

1st: "i can get a gba for 20$". well sure you can, but so you can get a used gp32 for like 5$ on asian streets. hell i even saw new ones for like 10$ for sale in korea. fact is, brand new gba == more expensive then new gp32

2nd: "the gba has mode0 etc etc and therefore makes it easy to emulate snes". fact is, even if the gba has some of the gfx modes the snes had it also lacks alot of things. brag about the gfx modes as much as you want, but the lack of HARDWARE SPRITE COLLISION alone is a *huge* drawback, especially on a 16mhz system. not to speak about the far superiour sound dsp the snes has.
that's why it took *ages* to get snes atleast somewhat working (3+ years). and despite whatever you say, snes emulation on gba is still shit - lots of games don't work, some work but with gfx erros. sound is brarely working at all. sure you can say "who needs sound/perfect emultation of hyper pachi majhong no dubutto dx when one only wants to play some zelda" - but the fact still remains that gp32 offers almost perfect snes emulation *with* sound and pwns the gba by far.

3rd. c64 emu on gba? please, get your facts straight. afaik there is only a C64-SID emu aviable, aka just a music player. i know there was a c64 emu announced but to my knowledge it isn't released yet, nor was there ever any public beta/preview build.

i am too lazy to write more now, but please don't bother to reply with "i don't care about xyz". i am solely talking about technical facts and possibilites here, i could care less about your personal preferences.

You took what I said completely out of context, all I said was that emulation for snes is *easier* not *better*. And yeah ok since your GP32's are only $5 do me a favor a put a few as buy it now on ebay for that price.

Finally someone that agrees with me (opcode32) Very Happy

Mchart - do us a favour and put your SP's on Ebay for $20 Razz... maybe it is possible to get a GP32 from Korea for $5 odd on the street I dont know as I have never been to Korea Razz

Anyway, It doesnt seem to be easier to emulate the SNES on GBA as opcode32 said it took over 3 years to get the GBA to emulate it, the GP32 one didnt take that long...

You said the GBA "can fully/almost fully emulate every game system" that the GP32 can... Obviously you are too much of a GBA Fan to relise it cant Wink

well goto korea or japan yourself and pick a few up. i even picked up some sealed wsc's for the same price Smile

anyway, who the fuck cares if you can get a gba for 20 or 80. it's still a nice machine and worth the money. only thing that has to be said is that gp32 is the best handheld for emulation aviable atm. and we gba-lovers don't need snes emu anyway, since the bastards at nintendo did 39473943 ports anyway
