I'm playing on very high on my single motherfucking gtx260.

Unless you're playing on some hugeass monitor or something

Even then, dual gpu is an epic waste of money and energy (trying to get it to work lol), just get a highend card ffs.

was about to say bullshit, but yeah.. i sometimes forget how unrealistic fullscreen gaming can sometimes be on a 2560x1600 monitor when you try to crank the quality up... very high just chokes the motherfucker and i get like 2 fps or something. high looks pretty damn nice though, and runs real nice.

and yeah... im still playing this game.. i love it, its a shitload of fun dispite being insanely frustrating at times.. number of occasions ive been fucking cheap'd in first place 2 corners away from the motherfucking finish line... but i enjoy it, its exactly what an arcade racer should be.

rubber banding in this is done for a reason... the point of the game IS the power plays. if u want a pure racer, theres a fucking million of them. the real fun in this game is being in or behind the pack, so you can fuck them up. game just isnt fun if youre 7 seconds ahead of the pack and stay there the entire race. only thing that annoys me is that rubber banding never seems to work the other way. the lead car can get a MASSIVE lead if you fuck up really badly (like 3 or 4 crashes in a row), but if thats the case then you really shouldnt be bitching that much. the game AI is such a fucking hypocrite Very Happy

While a bit off-topic it seems certain companies are now moving away from explosions and instead trying with women again, come first to win got a bit of a new meaning.
(Perhaps it goes full cycle soon and will be back to being about the cars and actual racing, heh.)

Quote:

During races, players will be constantly exhorted to go faster by a bevy of Cargasm Girls. If they are fast enough, players can collect these ravishing maidens for their own personal Cargasm Harem. As the players win races, new cars, Ecstasy points and trophies can also be unlocked and uploaded to an online global leaderboard.
[Screens Here]
The trophies that can be won include Cargasm Rave, Thrust, Lesbos, Orgy, Gigolo, Lothario, Playboy and the most coveted of all, Cargasm Sultan.

Cargasm is a racing game designed from the ground up for the social networking generation. Players can upload race statistics to sites such as Facebook and Hi5, update friends about their in-game achievements and invite them to multiplayer sessions. The game will also be playable inside a browser.

Sigh, another arcade poop... And I see nothing photo realistic in the shots, looks like a poor man's PGR. With the future announcement of Shift 2, Grid 2, Forza, GT, even HP3, do they really expect this to sell? With S/S they at least have somewhat of an interesting concept which can draw people's attention just out of curiosity.

Is there anybody who still has the game installed on his HDD?

We could organize some brainless races; the online part is simple, fun and most importantly free Cool Face

edit: By the way, that "Cargasm" looks absolutely horrible Laughing

That's strange, very strange Scratch Head . From this point of view the game has one of the simplest multiplayer "protections" that I've ever seen: just type a random username, then a random password, press enter and you're in. Have you checked your firewall?

tis the error i get... havent done anything funny with my firewall, and ive never had problems with it before - and i dont expect this kind of message with a firewall issue...

its weird, because obviously this is a cracked game, and ive finished it without any crashes/errors/loading issues, so wtf man Sad

@chiv

Sorry bud but that genre of error is rather inexplicable, and seems that the game doesn't even have an official board and/or some active community..

@Lathieza

Great Smile , we could play sometimes

well im surprised how well this works online... i always thought racing games online didnt really work because youd need a fast lag/free experience, and it was... worked very well. first try i came 4th because i didnt pick my fav car...

second race i came second because i DID pick my fav car... not a bad result seeing as i got wrecked and dumped to last place on the 2nd lap, and then after clawing my way back, i wrecked MYSELF 10-15 seconds away from the finish on the final lap... still managed to pass one guy and then wrecked the number 2 guy (he wrecked in the finish zone but hadn't passed the line yet... hahah owned Very Happy) to snatch second spot.

so yeah, this is cool... the enjoyment for this game just upped a notch Wink thnx for the suggestions to keep trying to figure out that stupid online thing - id give up on it.

ehehe from 7th to 3rd in the last half of the final lap... wrecked myself (brilliant... im more dangerous to myself than anyone else in the game apparently) and totally overtook the bulk of the racers thanks to a little shortcut i found on the construction track last week.. yeah i know you savvy racers found it day one, but i only just found it and it was damn cool to be able to not only use it, but to snatch a top spot from near last by using it Wink

Same here, when i installed the game, i started the MP to see if it works, and yes it did work, but i didnt have any good cars, so i finished SP first, and then tryed MP again and it was full of cheaters -.- After that the game was uninstalled

Try getting some friends. Like, you know, IRL. It's great in Split Screen, I recommend a widescreen monitor.

Razz

P.S. Sorry for that, I know it was uncalled for. But split screen is actually a great feature and the only reason the game remains installed on my HDD.

Exacty, not to mention the people with unlimited power-ups (dear lord how I hate them..), invisible/indestructible cars and so on.

It's a shame, because the game itself is truly great in MP.
