its f**** strange. On gameplay i got 40 fps+. But sometimes i get major fps drop ( slowdowns , no matter where i am ). Game just for 30 second turns to very slow. Now again after 20 sec 40+ fps is up. ;///Wtf?

Of course i know that is not fault of demanding place of game, cause this very not regular, always in other places. So what is wrong? Ah fan of graphic card is more quiet then, when this slowdown are.
I was thinking that maybe with GPU is something wrong. So i put turn on some other games, and all is ok. So anybody got this problem too? Can be problem game , but why fan of card is quiet more?

Did you try the APEX tweak that was posted in the previous page of this thread?

Just a minute ago I logged in and it was running fine. I walked outside and dropped to 25 fps. I hopped in a car, plowed right into a car coming the other way and as soon as I hit it my fps jacked back up to 100 and stayed there the rest of the time I played.
You would think if it were a Physx issue the slowdown would have occurred when I hit the car, but instead that fixed the problem. Gun fights, car crashes, explosions, no slow down at all, but occasionally just walking around and the slowdown happens for no reason whatsoever.

you mean reinstall physx in mafia folder? I do this. Or you mean other thing? So i didnt.

Reinstall it and remove the cloth effects of the pedestrians. My fps jumped from ~30fps to ~100fps with APEX on medium

Well the demo is short of course, but from what little you can judge by it, Mafia 2 should be at least close to the classic brilliance of awesomeness that Mafia was. Can't wait!
Yes many people seem to have that issue. Don't know if it's a game or a driver issue. You can use Ctrl+Alt+Del to reset your screen and then cancel if you are using Vista/W7.
I think forums need to implement some sort of system to single out recent important posts... sort of like stickies, but for posts instead of threads
I've seen a couple links to supposed demo timer removal methods. Not only do these often lead to viruses that will mess up your systems, removing the demo timer means you are stealing our game. If you post these, you will be banned.
Think of the devs at 2K Czech who have spent years slaving over this game and respect them. Don't remove the demo timer. The full game will be out in 14 days. Wait till then - it will be worth it. You will receive a fully finished game without any hacks (I guarantee the experience will be better) and you will be supporting the team you love so much, and the people who worked so hard to bring you Mafia II.
