I know this is not about console game, but has anyone else tried the demo for the xbox or the ps3, I tried the ps3 version and the graphics are horible, what system is this goign to be better on?

From what I've seen the 360 version looks a lot better. The PS3 is missing things like grass? Laughing They really fucked up with that.

So if you can't play on PC, 360 seems the way to go.

Happens on most games. Only some PS3 exclusives have good engines. All multiplatform games are better on the xbox360 (exception to the crappy FFXIII). I think the PS3 is a bitch to program with it's cell processor, and since the xbox360 is basically a 2005 pc, you get the idea.

Actually, the 360 uses a PowerPC CPU, so you might want to say a "2005 Mac". Laughing x86 optimizations, for example, do not work on the 360 so it is not as straight forward as one might thing. Still hell of a lot easier than the Cell, that's for sure. Wink

That is indeed the problem. Supposedly though Sony have put a lot of work into the development kits though, and it's been a lot better recently. Then again, not every developer (read: none) will bother to do it properly when it comes to multiplatform, Mafia 2 is just another example in a long line :[

C:\windows\system32

It's got a bunch of files in there that you don't need and all they do is slow down gaming performance.

I played a little of the ps3 demo lastnight you could only see like 3 feet infront of you it looked worse then GTA iv but that looks bad on the ps3 also, I really hope this game will run good on the pc, because the gta iv port runs like crap,

Doh! I had the idea it used an intel processor, but you are right of course. But yeah, basically it comes down to programming knowledge, and them being more familiar with the powerpc then the cell.

Indeed, I just launched Crysis w/o system 32 folder and the FPS gain was about 10-15 FPS. It's Microsoft's bullshit as usual Rolling Eyes

Not bad at all, considering my old e6600@3Ghz, and surely much better than GTA IV (Orly? Laughing)

The framerate never drops below the 40s with a resolution of 1600*1200, everything on High except the AA/SSAO=off and the shadows on Medium. Razz

What you mean Sabin? I don't have system32 folder at all Rolling Eyes

And it works perfectly, over 15 FPS increase in both Crysis and Mafia on FULL HIGH APEX PHYSX.

Stop trolling for once, will you? Cool Face
