Except deleting the APEX stuff from the game, are there any other recommended tweaks?

Is there an ini file or anything similar where I could modify the effects? For example turn off the fucking distance blur? It was pretty easy with GTA4, just press P.

C:\Users\YourUserNameAppdata\Local\2K or some such I think it was called, has the INI but don't expect to find much of use in it aside from mirroring what you put in the options menu, not much else to adjust unfortunately.
(I guess draw distance and texture detail are set as hardcoded in the source code compiled to the game exe and not via unpacking some archive file or such so the game can't be adjusted that much.)

(Also AA is a form of shader effect that applies a soft blur and not the usual MSAA 2 - 8x filtered stuff to explain that, AF can be forced without issues and if Steam allows it renaming the exe might improve CF and SLI performance though the latest NVIDIA drivers scale pretty well apparently.)

What is the one in there? Smile

Still thank you! Maybe my comp will run this @ 4x2 pixels @ >30fps!

And do you have an idea how to disable this crappy "anti" aliasing? Setting it to off doesn't change anything at all Sad

Off, Off, Resolution-X/Width, Resolution-Y/Height, On, Off, Off, Off basically, or at times also 1 to 2 for medium and high where available so it's unfortunately not very useful as I said. Smile
(Would have helped if it was more clear as well, trial and error as it is now or alt-tabbing after changing options and mapping what goes where, still a LOD or draw distance setting would have been helpful along with a few other things but at least some things can be tweaked.)

And yeah the shader effect still includes a light (Or atleast it's supposed to be a light effect.) blur filter possibly related to the bloom or depth of field effect.

Unfortunately getting rid of it would be difficult unless the shader files can be accessed somehow.
(And they might not be easy to edit once unpacked if they for example are compiled first.)

Sad Yeah the "light" effect is used for depth of field and "motion-blur". Really annoying.

Because I can't disable shadows and some of the shaders, this is the only game that is running slower on my machine then GTA4 Laughing

Does anyone has the link to the demo time extender? (version 4 of that trainer was released today)

Edit: Found it @ www.modmywhat.com Smile
