| Quote: | Kalypso Media has announced Tropico 4, the next game in the popular strategy simulation series.
The game is being developed by Bulgarian video game developer, Haemimont Games. Tropico 4 will see the return of El Presidente to the paradise Island of Tropico in an attempt to establish the small nation as a worldwide superpower.
Tropico 4 will feature 20 missions on 10 new maps and introduce a number of new features including the ability to elect ministers, who can be used to push controversial decisions through the government.
The game will also feature social interaction with Facebook and Twitter integration.
Although Tropico 4 is currently only announced for the PC, Tropico 3 was also released on the Xbox 360 so a console release seems likely.
Strategy games could of course benefit from the resurgence in popularity sparked by the of Starcraft 2, which has pushed a 103% increase in PC game sales. |

Third screenie reminds me a lot of the pools added to RCT3 with its first expansion. Aaaah, fun times. This should offer some too, if they can work more on little things such as not allowing a tobacco factory being essentially a "get a shitload of money constantly" cheat.

You know, I always would have said I loved the original Tropico, but I played it so little, and actually preferred the fun of the pirate themed Tropico II. Trop 3 made me too nervous to play - it all seemed so very serious.
Epsilon: Game is great btw, I love it, so far it's a definite goty. It's remarkable how much has changed since the beta, stardock have been working their asses off, and it shows.

Talking about Tropico 3. Is it any good? Does the expansion make it better?
I have it on my HDD, but never came around to install it.
