After looking a bit at forums, looks like $99.99 Special Edition wouldn't include Babylon civilization, it still stays exclusive to $59.99 STEAM Deluxe Edition Scratch Head

yeah! looks fine!! but i fear that after 5 or 6 hours of play you will get bored and stressed with that terrain and textures... i hope its coming with a sort of "climate stations" or "day and night" features if you like... Razz

$90 NZD may seem like a lot, but when you take the exchange rate into consideration.... you're only spending seven dollars more;

http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi?Amount=89.95&From=NZD&To=USD&image.x=34&image.y=8&image=Submit

Deluxe Edition:

New Zealand; $89.95 ($65.56 USD)
United States; $59.99 ($82.26 NZD)

Now go and compare USD to EUR, which is what Gabe is fucking Europe with right now. THEN you'll see wallet-rape Crying or Very sad

According to the picture it's $89.95 USD not NZD in Australia.

Yeah they charge Aussies and Kiwis USD not AUD or NZD.

For standard edition

$79.99 USD = $87.1256 AUD
$49.99 USD = $54.4494 AUD

$30 AUD difference between what they charge the US and Australia. Otherwise known as 2K being arseholes. Steam only allows this bullshit to happen but it's firmly 2Ks decision. I've stated on their forums many times how their pricing policy is pathetic especially in regards to regionally priced DLC. You can't buy that shit locally SO WHY DOES IT COST MORE? WTF.

Our retailers will crap all over the steam price on release. Heck one retailer was selling Starcraft 2 for 55AUD that's less than American retail. I'd expect retailers to offer this around $60-70 AUD with importers beating the lot at a solid $50AUD. Meanwhile steam sits there being $20+ more expensive than every other option. Obviously this has something to with with brick and mortar stores but that still doesn't explain DLC costs for say Borderlands.

I've already pre-ordered from g2play.net much cheaper. It's a Steam game so you will still be able to download and get the regular steam service. Must say I really like g2play.net. They're always cheaper than Steam even for Steam games.

I don't see how this is the case. Same idiotic responses were heard when people learned units in civ 4 won't have attack and defence stats.

AARs from folks who played Civ 5 at GamesCom

- Apolyton's Civ 5 Hands On Preview!
- Ancient and Classical Cultural Policies in Civ5
- Civilization V at Gamescom Cologne by wenz (Nicely grouped)
- GamesCom Impression by Ituralde
- Gamescom, again by The_J (This one is very negative)
