"Mafia II tells a compelling story about organized crime in America -- a subject that for decades has been featured in movies, television shows and novels," Zelnick wrote. "Neither Unico nor any other organization purporting to represent Italian-Americans has seen or played Mafia II. At Take-Two, we balance our right to free expression with what we believe is a thoughtful and responsible approach to creating and marketing our products. Mafia II is M-rated in accordance with our industry's strict standards. It is specifically not targeted toward young people."
Unico, Italian for "unique," was founded in 1922 as a service and charitable organization for Italian-Americans. The group is also speaking out against MTV reality show "Jersey Shore."
Mafia II is being developed for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows PCs and is set for release on August 24. |

Since this game comes with Steamworks, I'm wondering, has there ever been a working Steamworks game release before the official release date?
I don't believe there has, since the files needs to be decrypted AND because I never heard about a Steamworks game being released early.

Well, JBeckman said that the decryption keys have been available for a month already, so I suppose it could get released early
