and i can't find words on how low this is of Reloaded, all these fine releases and now Rips?? Bite the dust rld, hlm beat you to it this time.
and 3 Gigs for a game has never been an issue before? guess all the suckers on slow pipes need to upgrade to DSL...

3 gb is still a pretty big download, it doesn't matter what bandwidth you got.
Rips are good stuff, sometimes they take all the unneccesery stuff and leave you with a clean game, that's easy to download. I presonally prefer smaller games, of 800 mb then 3 gb.

No, it's still ISO. Let's stick with the scene rules shall we. It isnt their first rip either. This is a fucking good rip too, so PLEASE STFU u dont know shit and this rls is respect to RLD, it doesnt lower them. 3GB is an issue when 800MB is good enough for 99% of us

Game runs like shit (10-15 fps) on my system. Lowest possible resolution, all graphic options turned down as much as possible.

I have 9800XT (tried catalyst 5.2 and 5.3), 1 GB of PC3200 ram, amd xp 3200+, audigy 2 (lastest drivers from July 2004).

Doom III, Halflife 2, FarCry and Call of Duty all runs like a dream.

Does anybody have a similar configuration and a fine working game? Lowering graphic settings did not give much extra fps. I suspect that my bottleneck might be the amd xp 3200+.

I have a similar system (i think)
9800 Pro 128MB, 1 GB of PC3200 ram, amd *64* xp 3200+
Runs great. However, i am using the HLD release.

Is it me, or is the sound kinda shitty on the rip in comparison to the full?
Sounds kinda washed out and weak, not how I remember the full when I was playing it a few hours ago.
Did they downsample soundfiles to/convert to lower quality? Just doesn't sound right.

Take all the above with a grain of salt, as I may just be wrong here, but coulda swore it sounded better before.

i have a question, why is it that theer is no cd-key needed to install BIA-rld release... i know that doesn't mean that it is playable online but how do they check now if you haven't got a valid version?

Yeah normally you would but during installing it didnt ask for a key, when i went to multiplayer you could only connect via ubi.com and lan play... maybe you should put it in when you click ubi.com but i didnt try that. anyhoe i ordered it, expecting it today. but it felt weird to install without a key

You might have to wait till ATI brings a new catalyst version, doesn't seem to me it shouldn't run great for you.

no probs with this release at all, preferred the dvd for speed of install over the amount of time it takes to unpack and inject all the files but there you go - by the time the install process has been completed it takes up 2.3 gigs on your hard disc so there cant be that much missing.

great for all the people on lesser connections though, my only gripe was that the uninstaller seemed to delete my current user profile "desktop" folder effectively removing any custom shortcuts and any files that I may have had on the desktop. Luckily I had no files on desktop at the time just a couple of throwaway shortcuts, but never the less a warning for any other users when uninstalling the rip. Shocked

edit........upon reboot the desktop folder magically reappeared where it should have been and the desktop icons with it, still never seen anything like that - did anyone else get this happening to them?

Demon Stones rip was 1.7gb unpacked and still it had movies, music and speech ripped off it. I really don`t know what`s taking up space in them Shocked

Anyways, I`m getting this now and hoping that the game will turn out alright. I`ve heard so many mixed comments about this so I decided to make an opinion myself Wink

Yes, it worked. So far, anyway... I'm only on the first mission but everything seems fine.

Looks like English, Spanish, French, German, and Italian based on the installer and the unpack.bat file they included to unlha the rip.
