playing it 4 a while, done some missions and it isnt very good !
but it isnt that bad
ive expected much more !!!
but its still fun driving through the city
if u like gta its ok!
gonna check brothers in arms NOW

it does not even have the bullet holes, thats enough to not buy , wtf have they done with the pc version why even bother when its x10 worse then ps2 version is ?

They're smart, they know there's still fuckers out ther who didn't play the console versions and who would BUY the frigging game without testing it first.

Actually it's not.
Sure it doesn't have the amazing graphics most games these days have, but I think the Undercover mode is quite enjoyable, FMVs rock and missions are cool.
Haven't encountered any major bugs either..

mmm riding is very cool much beter then GTA but man the land sucks they should have sticked to the way of driver (1) just driving that's what made driver great.

can't play it normally cos the game shocks and sticks.....and i think i've the right requirements:
athlon xp 2600+
512 DDR
ati radeon 9500 64mb (softmodded to 9500pro)
DirectX 9.0c installed
running the game @ 1024x768 85mhz medium draw distance....
still it's not playable....cos graphics keep hanging

Use higher res, and it'll run smooth..
I'm running at 1280x960x32x85, and it's sm00th..
But with 1024x768 or 800x600 it's laggy..

I don't think it's that shit.
Car handling takes some time getting used to, the huge cities are a bit dull, but it's still fun. Missions, FMVs, soundtrack are all cool, graphics are better than GTA...It could have been alot better, but what can we do about it? Average game

I've been getting exactly the same crappy performance issues (regardless of gfx settings) but I have managed to fix the problem on my system (Athlon 2.2 XP, 768 Meg, Asus Radeon 9800XT). Enter windows (XP) advanced audio playback properties (enter Control Panel - Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices - Sounds and Audio Devices) and set audio hardware acceleration to BASIC and lower sample rate to GOOD (to do this - click Audio tab and then Advanced button followed by Performance tab). I've never had to do this with any other games on my system but amazingly it seems to solve the Driv3r performance problem - apart from the occasional slow down - the games running great with all the detail maxed and running at 1280x1024x32 resolution. To be on the safe side I've also lowered the games audio sample rate using the in game audio settings. The game is actually quite good providing you take time to set up the controls - I'm enjoying it anyway! Hope this helps anyone else who is finding the game unplayable.

the style and graphics of the game are pretty nice. if they would have put in a responsive control scheme like gta vice city and worked more of the stuff out it could've been really great. i don't know what they were thinking. i thought the true crime controls were a little bad, but this was a joke. what kind of idiot designed the default controls? i feel bad for someone who drops money on this game though.
