Not realy liking it so far. I don't mind it being linear, but the game shouldn't have driving sequences longer than actual story progression or action. I was also very annoyed by stupid shit like cleaning out the toilets, or playing cleaner. I just don't feel like the whole cinematic experience is working, I'd rather watch than play it.

I would like to use Skidrows crack, but I read it doesn't work with your old saves? I'm using V3 crack now and I dont want to start over again....solution? |
its not possible to use your old saves, though I just realised that skipping all the cutscenes got me to chapter 5 in about 15 mins. |

Uhm, let me get this straight...
I've got an Q6600 at stock clock, 4gb DDR2 and an GTX260SSC by EVGA and I get solid framerates (35+) with everything on high. That means APEX included. What I don't get is that I've read that you need at least an GTX460 to play this game fluid with APEX on high. Were they drugged or bribed when they wrote that? I'm in Chapter 3 now.

Leave only the following files in the cloth folder:
All APEX particles effects are there without raping the fps and vitos suit also flows like the wind. |

anyone knows how to solve the bleeding problem? i played first with the v3 crack but changed it to the skidrow one. now for no reason i keep bleeding to death!

im using a stock Q6600, 8800GTX and 2 gb ram and Im at 35+ with medium apex too, with cloth tweak, I'm also using AA too, very playable for me.
but deffo better with the retail crack, the demo cracks have things missing. |

That's not true, you can just use your old save games like i did from crack v3, back your savegames and video settings and profile up, then delete all where you stored the savegames and start a new game, shut down the game and copy everything back in your new savegame folder and you can play on ...

Because they fucked it up, that's why. Unless you perform the cloth tweak, everyone gets nearly identical results (NVIDIA users that is). Doesn't matter whether you've got a 480 + one for PhysX/Apex or just an 8800 GTX, everyone seems to get around 35 FPS, give or take a few.
Also easy to explain: they didn't know what can run on the GPU when they did this - as a result, their recommendations are a lot higher than they need to be, since probably more than half of the PhysX calculations have to run on the CPU anyway, regardless of how many NVIDIA cards you have. Just shows how eager NVIDIA are to promote PhysX, but how crappy their support for it really is.
The game still hasn't grabbed me like the first one did. The open world feels pointless, I would have preferred to have a proper lineair game over this semi-open crap. Graphically it's not really exciting either, although it does run smooth because of that. Particularly the random blurring that's done and some of the textures bug me a bit, really makes the game look as old as CoD4 does.
That said, the music and voice acting are great once again, driving is good (set to simulation). The best thing though, are the little details, think everyone knows which I mean. The only thing I miss is how in the first game your indicator would turn on if you fully turned the wheel to the left or right
