Don't force AA in CCC or whatever tool you're using to tweak AA/AF etc. |

We dont have good music anymore because it was taken over by the individuals with commercial appeal. Their ability to actually sing comes 2nd or 3rd to their mass appeal, and image.Thanks to audio mastering programs they dont even need to be talented. Just google auto-tune and pitch correction apps.
Music songs have become harder to differentiate from one another, as track after track has perfect pitch and vocal tuning devices show up in concert setting and have been secretly since the early-mid 90-'s. Ever wonder how everyone in Glee sounds like they do? EASY with auto-tune everyone is a PRO.
A few guilty names: Janet Jackson, Cher, Faith Hill , Tim Mcgraw, Rascal Flatts , TPain, Britney Spears and numerous other R&B and pop artists.. By numerous i mean like 75-80% of pop and 98% of rap.
They even use it at ballgames when someone sings.. To me its almost as bad as lip-synching, maybe even worse since it actually take some talent to pull off a good miming.

So...What about a Mafia 2 VS Mafia 1 comparison? I just didn't feel the same about Mafia 2 as with the first one (I loved Mafia 1).
It's been a long time since I played Mafia 1 so please help me remember.
Was it really a bigger game than Mafia 2?
Imho, the Mafia 1 missions were more interesting since there was more variation (remember the car chase out of town which could end up at the Airport or at the broken bridge?)
In Mafia 1, I felt a stronger connection with the other Salieri Gangsters. I think that was because Tommy didn't change family like people changes clothes like Vito did.
Also, when Vito got made, I thought "Wow! That was fast" and it didn't seem to give the status a of a Made Man, Basically, A Made Man is untouchable because he is part of a family and can therefore only get whacked if the leaders of the families in their city agrees upon it, otherwise there's gonna be a war).
Can't remember if Tommy got made, but I DO remember feeling that he really was one of the boys of the Salieri Crew, where Vito seems more like a gun for hire for whoever pays the most.
All in all, the story of Mafia 1 seems to work better compared to Mafia 2 which seems like it was the victim of a lot of cuts by the studio (am I the only one that thinks that there has been major alterations to Mafia 2 compared to what it was supposed to be like?).
It's like somebody decided that the game had too much bad content, so it had to be removed.
And who thought it was a good idea to remove the ability to shoot from the car? It worked fine in Mafia 1...

Finished it just now.
Like most people said, good game but short on content and with low replay value. Liked the story, liked the characters but there's a big city that feels underused.
I know it's kind of a cliche to say this in this forum, but if the game had more content I think that I'd probably buy it when the price came down a little.
But as it seems that 2K prefers to remove stuff from the game to sell it as DLC they can go fuck themselves.
Them and the  's that made them do it in the first place.
Well, I still have Mafia 1 to spoil myself with (never played it).

Just beat the game. Final thoughts? Amazing atmosphere, fantastic characters, wonderful story, killer soundtrack, game gets an A for immersion.
That being said, did developers forget how to make games that were FUN? The actual gameplay felt 100% superfluous to me --- it was pretty much drive from point A to point B to trigger the next in-game cutscene. Come on guys, I get it's a story driven game so I'm not expecting a Fallout 3 or GTA San Andreas style sandbox game... but mundane driving with 2 lazy car chases across 15 hours just doesn't cut it.

there is something i noticed in the game,
1) in the map, when i look at the legends, there is yellow marker for jobs (side missions) but i don't see or encounter any side missions, its only purely main mission.
2) if you guys noticed while walking into the prison and looking left and right, the prisoners all look the same.

Towards the end of page 143 you can find all the five currently released packs.
(Joe's adventure, Jimmys Vendetta and Betrayal of Jimmy coming later on as larger content additions apparently, Rags_to_riches 1 and 2 also listed among the Steam files along with one other pack I don't remember at the moment.)

in a few months..one year..idk..when the game will be 100% complete with all the missions..sidemissions and everything else ..mafia 2 will be better than the first one and i think it will be a truly remarkable game.
too bad they just fucked it up like this.

Yeah, when that day comes the game might become what it should have been. As it is now, it's only so-so and sub-par to it's predecessor. |

What a fucking joke. 6 years, a derpified graphics engine, a pointless open world and a generic story. Only to found out 50% of the game has been cut to be used as DLC.
I think we're all glad we can get it for free, right?
