Ah the idiot comes out at night again. Why did I even take you off ignore?
If you think the inventory will change much then good for you. I couldn't stand listening to them trying to sell the engine to me like I'm in your herd a long with the other sheep so I automatically ignored their voices all through the video.
And no the graphics are not anything special at all. Fine if other people think they're the best graphiczzzz evaaaar but I don't see it.
I'm really hoping this game is even half as good as TW2 and there are some positives with what I've seen but not very many and I'm extremely jaded about every new game and to know why you just have to look at what they're doing with DA2. I may sound negative as fuck but there's a reason for it..
Anyway on with ignore again so don't bother responding directly to me.

I'm not going to argue with your opinion, but although there were several things i disliked in those videos, the graphics were not amongst them. From what I've seen so far, and not only from those videos, TW2 will raise PC graphics to a new standard, even if it may fall short in other aspects.

It's one of the best looking RPGs no doubt but that's because most RPGs we get are mainly made for consoles.. me saying they're nothing remarkable is taking into account the amount of rubbish the developers are talking and people claiming stuff like you did. Maybe I should've mentioned it seeing as some seem to think I think they're shit or something..
They're gonna have to improve the graphics quite a bit if they're gonna set a new standard for PC graphics.

They're not anything special at all compared to the best looking PC games. Hard to understand what context is, is it?
And yeah I wouldn't trust those screenshots at all considering the videos out there doesn't even resemble something that good looking even if most videos are low quality you can still see by a fairly small margin how good the graphics are.

I don't know, from what I saw the graphics looked decent. And if there's half a year more time for polishing it could turn out quite nice. As for the gameplay, there's not much to tell, the developers said themselves that it's far from finished and missing a shitload of features. So bashing the game at this point seems kinda pointless.
Nothing in those videos is enough form a definitive opinion on the game, but as far as I'm concerned, they're on the right track.

P.S: I omitted the rest of the text 'cause it wasn't relevant to my point, that being, what i think are 2 contradictory statements. (Everything looks bad in consoles.)

I also believe the graphics look really stunning for an RPG. They're advertising the engine as the best RPG engine (key 'word' being RPG, here), and it's quite probable they're right. It's waaaay better then anything from the genre I've seen so far.
It's so good, in fact, that it can easily compete with other genres and, in most cases, comes out on top.
As for the gameplay, I really, really like many ways to complete the same quest. I also like the way they're introducing nudity. Should shut up some people, who started bragging about the game turining childish and CDP catering younger audience, after they announced there'll be no cards this time.
It's also great the game will be more open-ended this time.
I've got some mixed feelings about the combat, though. But time will tell, I suppose, since it's not finished yet. My second worry is the game lenght, since the main story will be shorter this time, supposedly.
Overall, this is still shaping to be my 2011 GOTY. Definitely the right way to go.

It's just DX11 with some features locked out if you have an Nvidia card lol.
And people bitch about NVIDIA exclusivity with physx.
Well here's ATI doing the same thing.

I imagine it would be similar to the way that Crysis locked out ultra high settings if you ran the game on a system using XP.
Could even be a similar way to hack it to where you can unlock those options.
Keep in mind I'm just guessing. But there's no new DX that I know of. Even DX 11.1 or whatever.

My guess is that The Witcher 2 won't be extremely demanding, considering that the new engine was programmed to run also on consoles. Obviously the gimmicks due to the various tesselation effects will be present, but the core engine will be completely DX9 based.
