Hey I need some advice!

I currently got ixtreme 1.3D for ms28 and i just finished the campaign of this game and i really liked it, I am wondering if it is safe to play it online right now...

As in what are my chances of getting banned at the moment with playing this game?

Also to add is that i've never played online with my hacked firmware so it will be my first time.

So any advice?

i was banned in the first ever wave of banhammers. none stealth firmware, some games definately not stealth patched.

I got a second 360 after the first ROD'd before the xclamp fix was known

On this xbox i have iextreme 1.2c and i check every release with xdvdmulleter and don't burn any that don't pass.

I've been playing online since, with no issues.

Not playing online, because you're worried, amounts to the same as being banned, you ain't playing on live......so take the chance.

Exactly and be realistic if you can play for a year and you get banned the xbox 360 wil be like 100$ with all the price drops, so just buy yourself a new one and flash it Wink

I just burned the ALLSTARS image and when i start the game up, a sided window appears saying that in order to run the game, an update needs to be installed in the console. I freaked out and turned it off.

my xbox is PAL flashed with ixtreme 1.40

What's that, does anyone know?

ok but what does it update?

are you sure that "update" won't be touching the drive's firmware, preventing the console from running backup games or sumthing like that?

Nah, I'm lying just to make sure you get banned<!> Of course it doesn't stop you from playing backups. NO update can touch the drive firmware. It's a game update which usually include bug fixes.

Nope, sorry. Dashboard updates appear when you turn on the console. Game updates appear when you run specific games Razz

When your console is not connected to the internet you get these dashboard updates when you insert a game that comes with a new version on the disc.

What the hell is going on with this game. The amount of lag on ranked servers every evening is insane. The game is simply unplayable online, unless on unranked servers (which kills all the fun).

Has this been going on since the day game was released or is this temporary? I am shocked Shocked

Hmmm... I never had a problem with Unranked servers before, and I actually just dusted off my copy last night to give it a go after becoming hopelessly bored with COD. Ill try again tonight and see if I can see what you mean Glottis.

Have you opened the XBL ports in your router?

I tried that (for other reasons thou) and what ports have to do with the problem I described? As I said lag is based on time of day, so obviously more users = lag. Nothing to do with my ports.

I never have to many problems with lag as long as my PC isnt downloading anything on unranked or ranked matches,is your router got security settings if not someone may be piggybacking off your connection,Check your internet speed when you experience lag on this game just to make sure your not getting a slow connection speed at the same time

During the time I have lag on BF:BC ranked servers I can play online on PC and other xbox live games just fine, so I highly doubt it's my end. I checked official forums and there's a huge thread about lag. It's not like I pay for this service... oh wait Sad

I never had any lag problems, but I haven't played it for a few months. So if the issue is universal it's only developed recently.

Try putting your connection in a DMZ. It won't rule out your router being the culprit but it's a start.

Seems like the lag is gone, at least today.

I have another "issue" thou. I love how sprinting controls are done in this game, but can that ruin my controller? Pressing forward and pushing down left stick hard seems like it could make the stick lose sensitivity fast. I hope 360 controllers are durable.
