Sabin, do you think there is a need to keep at least one disc physically in the PS3 drive for this whole back up manager thing to work?

All the videos that are show on the Internet have had one disc inside the console. So do you think it's mandatory to have it in there, or will it work without any disc in the drive?

Looks like Sony won the court case against the three Australian modchip sellers, obtaining a permanent injunction against the sale of the PSJB - both inside and outside Australia. Fucking crooked judge in Sony's pocket like the piece of shit that he is.

http://www.bravekit.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=50

This seems to be supported although not quite as pretty as the other thumbdrive looking units.

Yep and that's the worst thing; All Sony did was hurt three companies who hadn't even started selling the device yet .... and now that the code is out there, for free, all you need is a $20-30 programmable USB board and you can make your own! Sony has stopped NOTHING.

Fucking idiots.

Yeah, this. Nothing else of note has happened yet. As for the ISO2JB, I wouldn't say it was "fake" - just that Reaver obviously didn't know about the encryption Laughing

lol you're telling me he thought he was the first person to discover the concept of extracting a PS3 ISO to an external hard drive folder? Please! He was looking for traffic to his site!!

Backup Manager 1.1 - any confirmed new features yet? or is it all still hearsay?

Is this thought to be a difficult thing to do or too far off in the future?

Personally I'm hoping the PSP becomes the first custom JB device, simply for the lulz! The PSP, who's Pandora battery originally came from Sony's jigstick, being hacked and used to hack the PS3 using another Sony-original jigstick method.

Oh and the irony and poetry of that. It's delicious.

Let me just consult my crystal ball Very Happy In all seriousness; it depends on how fast people can now break the encryption on the BD-ROMs .. and whether or not it can be done externally from the PS3.
