And one more question - does PSJB support games like Shank, Deathspank and other PSN games? So far I can see only retail games.

3.42 kills the exploit, so surprise there. Could be possible the jailbreak code needs to be made compatible with 3.42. Or the exploit is really patched. Time will tell

Update: We can confirm that all variants of the USB-hub emulating exploit (PSFreedom, PSGroove, PSJailbreak) are no longer functional in firmware 3.42.
This made me laugh

You may be ok with cyanogen 6 because open desire use's cyanogens kernel (IIRC)
but you will need a rom that is compatible with the kernel.
You need the custom kernel because it has to kill other USB functions for the hack to work, but the phone works as a phone, just without certain USB features (ADB, USB mass Storage etc)
Anyways, just fully tested the G1 version, and it works perfectly  , so now I am just awaiting some decent homebrew

on PSFreedom wiki its says I need to enable or disable the hack on the phone. So my question is if I enable the hack on the phone is it really needed to disable it to use the phone again normally? Is phone booted normally and accepting calls when hack is enable?

Every PS3 that is produced is installed with the latest firmware, always. With Gran Turismo 5 and Move coming out soon, I guess they will hit the stores soon in a nice anti-piracy PS3+GT5 package. I would steer away from those new bundles.

That's the answer to this 'question'. I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility to emulate the firmware to enable future games to run. The hackers will have to create their own versions of the firmware on the sdk.
