Isn't the Samsung Galaxy S I 9000 the best android phone out there? Hummingbird is faster than snapdragon and the gfx chip is much faster too And the speakers and cameras on HTC phones suck BIG time!
I'm not a fan of the HTC phones period. They feel cheap, and are built cheap. Drop one without a case and it's borked.
Im a huge fan of what motorola releases like the droid and droid 2. If best phone debates the hardware then im not sure as i can't keep up with everything. But as a phone as a whole I think the droid, now the droid 2 are the best designed and built, especially since motorola uses gorilla glass on them, which can take a razor blade to it all day without making any marks.
I overclocked my moto droid 1 to 800mhz and it's snappier as all hell and can't tell the difference between the droid and droid 2 other than the look.
If it wasn't for the lag problem the SGS still has. After a few days the SGS gets slower and slower. I'm rebooting mine once a day now to mitigate the effect. The android 2.2 update is supposed to fix this though... hopefully.

For those of you here that have the moto droid/milestone or any android (and nokia 9000 devour and a couple for now or whatever it is) theres a thing call "Game Gripper", it's an overlay for the keyboard to give you the tacticle feel of having an actual gamepad to play on, it works freakin flawlessly, have had mine for abou 5 months now, it's priceless to have!
