There are some stutter issues once you drop below a certain performance threshold (for me it 60fps) -- but really, with a rig like yours? You should never have to deal with that :\

I bought the game, patched to 1.1 and now it tells me to put in the DVD! It was a digital download from YuPlay! How can I play the patched version?!!?!

You're supposed to get vendor-specific patches from digital distribution outlets.. you, as a general rule of thumb, can't use DVD/retail patches.

Erk.... sorry mate.. I didn't account for digital distribution outlets not having the right patch :\ I'm truly sorry man, I should have mentioned that.

I guess you need to install the Russian language files for your Windows version to get a translatable error message
From what I've read there are two different fixes, one of them uses an exe and the other is just a bunch of files, the only link I can find does not work for me
I uploaded the version I got with the game (bunch of postprocess files), not got an ATI so can't say if it works
It's only 12KB

Finally got a game breaking bug? For the very first time u go to space: I went to station and upgraded, launched go to story mission (escort ship to planet), after arriving near the ship, the frigging icon for "fall in formation" doesnt appear, thus i am unable to continue with the story.... Argggghhhhhh!!!! Anyone had this problem??
Just now that the game was getting better Im even considering some trainer just to pass this thing, if such thing exists.. |
Dammit, dammit, dammit. Tryed loading a game from before going to space, tryed to dump all my items before, tryed destroyng said merchant and the mission just resets, i go to the dude on station receive same mission,go to mission zone and now the fighters are hostile. Anyway no dice, unable too continue story mission. Grrrr. The only thinng i noticed is albeit im unable to pop the menu "formate with ship" i can target all the modules, command, comunications, cargo, etc. On the other merchants passing by this doesnt appear.

The game is still a bit rough though it was patched (But only once.) which apparently helped a lot but wasn't this the game still using the 1.0 exe for the crack or was that Xenus 2?
(Mini-images exist for both but Star-Force is annoying to deal with, especially these early revisions of it compared to later ones.)

Trivium did the Xenus update and several Disciples patches and was pretty good at Star-Force, more or less a Russian group as well but I haven't seen much from them in a while, similar to Reloaded's current exploits to SecuROM and Tages I guess it got fixed (As those will eventually.) and the old methods didn't work any longer.
Haven't had time to go trough Xenus 2 and Precursors yet with this translation, messed around a bit with the original Russian 1.0 versions and compared to that the patches seem to have fixed numerous problems but more could probably have been done, not a bad game though if a bit buggy at times, multiple savegame slots are recommended and saving often is encouraged.
(If nothing else then also for the reason if you mess up and make everyone hostile, pre-patched Xenus 1 / Boiling Point had the civilians touting RPG's and crap if they disliked you making the game very difficult until the next "donation" to bribe the reputation back up.)

Any news on when these will be available? I didn't see a date in the press release. Also is it a full English translation or just subtitles?

All text minus the voice acting and any in-game cutscenes though there's apparently not many of those.
