from that interview :

State aggiornati!

summing up...
why ure porting Fifa 10 and not Fifa11?

Because its the first time were converting something, so its hard for us to press one BIG button "CONVERT".
Blame Canada, EA.

They simply had to find an excuse, and the "we're not giving you the same game as consoles because we had to work hard for two years in order to bring you the NEXTGEN engine" sounded for them as the most plausible

one. It is needless to say that they're terribly wrong. Laughing

Well, after years of bullshit being fed to us, i guess it's better than a kick in the nuts. At least they're porting something good. Oh, and isn't this the PES thread? :B

Yeah, but since there's nothing really interesting about this year's PES (the way it has been the past few years, really), people have started discussing its main competitor.

The FIFA marketing team has just been asked to feed us bullshit, just to persuade those that don't really follow this kind of stuff and don't know the implications behind a simultaneous multi-platform development, PC included. Those that are naive enough will believe them and just be excited over a demo of what's actually being developed right now for the so-called "next-gen" consoles, and will keep eating the same bullshit for the years to come.

They just want to keep selling a better product to the consoles, it's that simple. It's not that they can't do it, it's just that they don't want to.

So until we get the same game (and it better be a good one) across all platforms, fuck them.

Nice, Fifa is actually missing those long range goals, they are really, really hard to score in Fifa.

i like those high slow chips and kicks, they look so awsome. In pes 2010 i noticed the ball teleported to gk's hand when it shouldve gone over him. But I hope they wouldnt be too easy to score.

E: oh and could anyone comment how's referee in this one. In pes 2010 it was one of the worst parts of the game. Obvious fouls were never called.

The animations are far from being perfect, but the game overall looks fun and surely much better than the 2010 version.

Also, according to the feedbacks from the various forums, people seem to like it very much. The old good PES is finally back? Razz

For me the animations are good enough. The headless chicken runnig is gone. Plus the game feels like football now. Something that fifa cannot give you. In pes it feels like you are playing a football match while in fifa it feels like a video game.

Yep, animations look quite bad in the video Ixigia posted. Animations for me are a very important factor toward that "football match" feeling that supposedly PES gives. Wink

Looks great? Have you guys seen the people around the field? (Security, photographers, etc.) If not, take a look at this snapshot from that HD Youtube vid.

Sprites ._. Who in the world uses sprites now-a-days? Even the Total War Series switched from sprites to 3d models several years ago and they can show litterally thousands of units on the screen :\

I'm not a soccer type of guy, but graphics wise this doesn't look great. Especially not if compared to Fifa. And yes, I know, Gameplay > Graphics, but Graphics = atmosphere and isn't that kinda important to the whole soccer 'feeling'?
