I'm still wondering why he hasn't gotten a better server yet. I mean, Minecraft is popular for quite some time now already.

Mine just updated fine, looks like the server is good now. There is sound.
Did they just add snow into the game? I have never seen snow until now D:

nah, snow ain't new. Has been in for a while. It's just somewhat rare to get a snow map.

Try downloading Minecraft.exe from minecraft.net Mark, that fixed my problem.
