wtf is up with the time limit in this game? so i dawdled a bit and got to one of the cases
 Spoiler:

just in time (with about 2 minutes RL time left), and it just cuts off anywhere in the middle as soon as the timer runs out. srsly, it should be enough to reach a mission in time - there's already too much to do in too little time anyway Mad

Same bullshit as with the first one Sad The only time the game gets remotely enjoyable (as surviving in a mall full of fucking zombies can be) is when you finish it twice and finally unlock the no time-limit mode. Ah well, at least we can hope for trainers on the PC version Very Happy

I just started day 2 and so far it seams easier than DR1. If it stays that way, then the only real complaint I had about DR1 is fixed.

oh this just keeps getting better. after forcing me to restart for being too slow, now i have to fucking WAIT for 10 minutes to give my daughter the fucking injection, with nothing else to do. well, guess that's what internet forums are for:lol:

I'm definitely NOT GONNA RESTART if the game forces me to do so.

I hated first one for this. If I'm right this one is made by different studio, correct?

I restarted few times when i was playing first DR. The good thing about is - you start with your current level and unlocked skills and the game is easier than before. Smile

Glad to hear about improved AI for survivors.

That's NOT a "good thing" ffs. Being force to replay the entire game over and over and over and over is never, EVER and I repeat EVER a "good thing" It's a pathetic design decision created for one reason and one reason only; to artificially increase longevity.

but where's the point in that, except making the game longer by using the same content again? of course at least it lets you blitz everything up to the point where you had to restart, but stilll...questionable design decision.

newgame+ is always a nice feature, but only if it makes the game harder (and more interesting sometimes), not the other way around

You always can go to maintenance tunnels and level up your character to 30-40. Then Frank have more health and can carry alot more things. After that the game is breeze. Smile
The game is hard if you try to beat it without any grinding.

Never played DR1 but was thinking about getting it. I heard the Wii version was just like the 360 but with no timelimits, so I guess that one is the one to get???

no it's not. the wii version is shitty beyond imagination, just get the 360 one. the time limits aren't that bad, just gotta keep your priorities

btw, does someone know where to find zombrex? cause apart from the first one in the pharmacy, the paramedic and of course the pawnshop i haven't come across any yet

I disagree about the Wii comparison. It's obviously not going to be 100% the same as the 360 version, but they are EXTREMELY alike.

Few things I noticed from my play through (beat the game and got perfect S rating ending).

There is no sandbox mode, and even the infinite play that drains your hp from the first game is gone. I guess the co-op is supposed to replace that.

Bosses are a lot harder than the first game, you gotta really level up your you're gonna get your ass kicked.

When you level up what you get is random and changes depending what are you're in when you leveled up. You can't assign points Sad

Fps realllly plummets in some areas.

LMAO the wii version has a max of 10 zombies on the screen at a time.

As opposed to the x360 version witch has hundreds. Very Happy And from what I've seen the Wii version's more like RE4 in gameplay (you acquire an arsenal of weapons throughout the game, and zombies drop money and ammo). Also, zombie parrots/poodles!
It's basically nothing like DR on the x360.

Even tough I hated the time+save system in DR (and I get why so many people had/have a problem with it), on the second playthrough I got used to it and actually liked it. It feels like in those 3 days, stuff's happening and you play with a sense of responsibility. You feel like you're doing something as opposed to just derping around until you get bored. Frank's not there to have fun, he's in bad spot and he wants to make it out alive.
Def one of the best, if not the best, game on the x360.

hahaha +1, it's a dog shit compared to 360 version.

The mall is empty and they removed alot of features like camera etc..

I agree with you. Still my favourite 360 exclusive. It has flaws but the game is something fresh and different than all of the games this gen.

@clerick - can you confirm if there are more zombies on-screen this time compared to first game? From what i have watched, DR1 looks better and has more zombies..

Dead Rising 1 was a superb game.

Most difficult part was rescuing survivors.

Other than that I like the gameplay choices they made. Time limit, limited save places, etc only meant more a feeling of panic and risky bizniz, which fits perfectly in a zombie game.

And no, I never had to restart the game to finnish the game? Can´t really see why people hit a brick wall here? I did however replay it because it was so good and trying to get the most out of it, aka getting achievments (which were well thought out).

I´m sceptic when it comes to this game. They shouldn´t make it easier. I also doubt the overall quality from the first will stay the same.

Well, lets try this one out then...

In the first game you could find magazines which improved certain things, like how long a chainsaw would work and so on.
