burning marvel release now! lol once upon a time the PC release would be out earlier than consoles, maybe they should concentrate on the consoles and leave us PC users to pirate

Most likely would need a new Teknogods(google) dll to be playable on lan without a proper key, as it was with 90% of live games so far.
edit: Oh, you mean legit.

been playing this for a few hours on the 360 tonight,
mini review:
its more of the same really, if you liked dead rising 1 and its mechanics then youll like this one, the first area is a mall type setting and if you squint your eyes you may as well be playing the first one. Everything is the same, I just cant decide if that's a bad thing, the cases, the time limit, the individual time limits on cases, rescuing survivors (and some extremely buggy survivors) its all just like the first game. wether thats a bad thing is up to the person playing.
the weapons are great and I havent even scratched the surface, i just conbined some gems with a flashlight and got a fucking lightsaber, gave me a chuck-le (see what I did there) the game has that anxious anxiety feeling to it like the first game, it kind of makes me feel uncomfortable, I had hoped that this game wouldnt be times, it doesnt do much for exploring the map when your rushing to timed events.
The loading is fucking terrible, if GTA could do it I cant understand why capcom couldnt optimise the loading, you load going in and out of the tiny safe area, you load at most main doors, youll load a cutscene then it loads the area afterward its really getting on my tits. You find your in a loading screen alot of the time, and some of them arnt very brief, infact most of them take a good little time to load.
Pros:
weapons are great, very inventive
lots of zombies on screen
fun gameplay
kept the tradition and feel of the first game
the gore and some ragdoll effects.
size of the map and different locations
cons:
kept exactly the same feel and mechanics as the first game (lol, hard to decide)
loading screen after loading screen after fucking loading screen.
retarded survivors sometimes
slowdowns (hope the pc doesnt suffer from this)
constantly bombarded with large messages about time remaning, makes you feel rushed constantly
anyway going to play a little more and see what I think.

Hehe try blanka (goblin mask) and a battery. There is a TON of weapons with the that wrench icon, really cool.
How do you upgrade a scratch card to the real combo card?
I also like how the clothing stays on you even in the cut scenes. You can look absolute ridiculous with girl clothing with a fucking Mohawk but still be all serious in those cut scenes.

No, however, the publisher anounced they will release a Zombie Pack DLC for $9,95, which contains zombies for the first 2 chapters! Ain't that neat!?

It will be fake tbh, he's probably just spoofed Steam into thinking he's launched DR2's App ID.
That or it's a reviewer's copy, a redeemable code to use with Steam is becoming a pretty popular way for publishers to dish out copies to the reviewers.

There's no decryption key for the game yet and thus the files are a bit locked plus server side blocks and the like preventing download until just before release date.

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/20/technology/20game.html?_r=2&pagewanted=1
“I look around Tokyo Games Show, and everyone’s making awful games; Japan is at least five years behind,” said Keiji Inafune, 45, head of global research and development at Capcom and one of Japan’s most prominent game designers.
“Capcom is barely keeping up,” he said in an interview at the show, which ended Sunday. “I want to study how Westerners live, and make games that appeal to them.”
Perhaps this is the reason DR2 & DMC are being developed by outsiders?

D34Dite Steam uses a different protection method, you need to use Steam://validate/45740 after putting the file in place to get the proper ones (When available, server might reject as it's not close to release date yet.) alternatively Steam://install/45740
Also need to be in the right folder, most likely SteamApps\Dead Rising 2\ and be sure to copy the files over instead of moving them, if the above works and is using encryption you'll get encrypted files and can't use them so copying should keep the originals safe and unaltered.

Al lot is indeed personal, like the too much the same part.
Honestly I don't really care that much. I like the new parts of the environment.
The survivors are notably less stupid that the first game. They seem more capable of staying alive than in the first game.
I feel like most of the quests are more doable in the time you have. They do require some planning and I would like to see what time they end. It is weird that a bar can stay full for a long time and then suddenly it starts to decrease. This makes the planning difficult.
I also got some <insert random name here> has died messages while they were not part of a quest so I had no idea what the hell they were talking about.
It would be nice if you had some sort of notebook about the status of the quest you were doing. Some survivors are talking about another person and if they are talking when I'm fighting the herd it really sucks. Also they talk allot and I tend not to care about there personal live if it's all text. Should have got some voice actors.
Combo weapons are awesome. It takes some guessing what you can create without combocards but it is a greate way to create some awesome weapons to kill zombies.
The combo system seems to replace the camera feature of DR1, and that is a good thing I think.
A cool new thing I haven't (obviously) tried: Coop!
I think it would be really cool to run around with a friend. It would make your life alot easier and it would take the timelimit pressure off a little bit if you can distribute the tasks a little, so when you are dragging arround some survivers another person can clear the way.
I like the game and I would buy it on steam (about 40 euro's) for the Coop part.

Despite this being off-topic, seeing as how the game isn't at risk of being released anytime soon, I figured I'd take a stab at this and help Mr. Inafune out!
What not to do when making a game for a western audience:
1. Don't make every single physical action a character takes (either in a cutscene or actual gameplay) be accompanied by a grunt/groan/moan/huh? or some other sort of vocalization.
When I feel water dripping on my head - I don't look up, grunt, and say huh?! I may say "what the fuck is that" before looking up, but I assure you that no other grunts/groans/moans are present. Please refer to MGS 4 as a prime example of this fucking absurdity.
2. Don't make your male characters look like females, and vice versa. This one should be self-explanatory, it's just bad for business. Males have shorter hair and somewhat deeper voices. Females typically have longer hair and some sort of breasts. Killer tentacles SHOULD NOT emanate from their vagina's (although going into them is I suppose somewhat acceptable depending on the subject matter at hand).
3. Either forgo a ranking system entirely, or use one with some semblance of fucking sense.
In the US grades are as follows A, B, C, D, F
According to my folks, grades in Europe (at least in Poland) were as follows 5, 4, 3, 2
Either of these would be logical to a western audience.
I recently played Resident Evil 5 and was left with the following question: What the flying fuck does S mean? Did I do Super or Shitty?
From some other game (Soul Caliber maybe) is CCC better than C?
That's all. I'll be expecting a check made out in my name for the consultation services in the mail. Thanks!
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.
