And besides being depressing that movie is fucking great! Great piece of cinema.

How are you supposed to know the difference between salt and sugar when you never had sugar? Smile

half a glance at imdb for the plot details and genre description are usually enough to hazard a guess.. or a trailer... i dunno, movies like requiem just sound depressing to me.. and i tend to stay away from those - just personal preference.

an yeah i might miss some 'technically' amazing films by doing that, but id rather watch a standard uplifting 'fun' movie than a technically brilliant punch to the gut.

funny story... once we were doing one of those 'testing' games you do as a kid.. i think it was for scouts or some shit... where you get a box you cant see inside of, and you take a taste and try to guess what it was.

i peaked inside... saw white grains... SUGAARRR... wet my finger and shoved it all the way in to get as much as i could.

it wasnt sugar...

The Killer Inside Me 1/10

Fuck you! Well I have to be subjective when giving grades and this movie is just disgusting, it also has everything I hate in a movie (short of an Elvis impresenator), annoying Texas accent, blah, can't believe I listened to that for an hour and a half, it's more of a snuff film and sex every minute or so, thanks but I'd rather watch a porno.

0% entertainment, skip it and thank me later.

MacGruber - 9/10 - Sorry but I just love these types of stupid comedies. I found the jokes to be genius lol. I know most wont agree.
Knight and day - 8/10 - Lighthearted, funny, worth a watch, nothing special though
Stay Cool - 7/10 - Good enough, for a romantic comedy. Plus hilary duff is really hot
Frozen - 6.5/10 - Not bad, but reminds me too much of the standard teen horror flick formula(although it's not a horror), although it tries to be different
The Experiment - 7/10 - Much of it doesn't make any sense, but through the entire movie I hoped it would make sense at the end, and that kept me watching because I was curious. But ending sucked and nothing was explained (as it could have been).
Vampires Suck - 4/10 - If you got nothing else to watch, like comedies, and dont expect much you can waste an hour on this.
Iron Man 2 - 8/10 - Got what I expected, a lot of action, robots and pretty girls
Robin Hood - 8/10 - Generally don't like movies taking place in the past, without real fantasy elements, but it was made well enough to deserve a watch.
Expendables - 8/10 - Nice selection of stars, pretty action scenes, not much more but definately enjoyable
Downstream - 7.5/10 - Low budget B movie. Obviously pretty bad acting, special effects were alright except for terrible last scene. I suggest you watch only if you like end of the world type movies. Otherwise you'll hate it.
The Chosen One - 5/10 - Expected a LOL comedy from Rob Schneider. But this is not it, not my cup of tea.
Grown Ups - 6.5/10 - Wanted more LOL moments
The Killing Jar - 9/10 - Love this type of sick psycho movies
Salt - 8/10 - Again, good enough for an action flick, could have been better. Angelina isn't what she used to be.
Paper man - 8.5/10 - Weird ass movie and generally not my cup of tea, but found it really entertaining. Possibly because I love emma stone.
Centurion - 8/10 - Rates about the same as robin hood.
Shes out of my league - 9/10 - Definitely my type of movie. I loled so hard during this one. Really cute girl too.
Tekken - 3/10 - Wow that was some bad shit. The only thing this movie has going for it is the combat (duh), and I'm not a big fan of martial arts movies.
Shelter - 8.5/10 - pretty good, I like when a movie keeps me in the dark, it keeps me interested. Generally they tend to disappoint me when they finally reveal whats really happening, but this one didn't so much.
After Life - 9/10 - like the previous one, I just love it when I don't know what's going on. Through the entire movie I was going back and forth not knowing if she's alive or dead, and love it how it kept me on the edge. Was hoping for a happier ending though. Plus you see Ricci naked, a lot.
Operation endgame - 6/10 - weird comedy/action movie mix, not bad, but never really picks up.
The A-Team - 8/10 - another popcorn action flick that didn't disappoint
Death at a funereal - 5/10 - Was hoping for something more than a black clone of the english version. Having watched the english version I didn't find it too entertaining as it's almost the same movie.
Repo-men - 9/10 - Love the premise, however unlikely it sounds. Reminds me of blade runner in a way.
Slammin salmon - 8.5/10 - Awesomness by broken lizard. Best thing they did since Supertroopers.

The bannen way - 0/10
The karate kid - 0/10
Hunter prey - 0/10
The Ghost Writer - 0/10

0 means I couldn't finish it due to extreme boredom. Not my cup of tea. Objectively I would have definitely given them a higher score. But all my scores are just based on how much I liked something, and having to force myself to finish a movie, deserves a 0.

the other guys 6/10

what can i say.. i laughed... i laughed quite a bit, and it had one of the coolest opening scenes ive seen in a long time...

so why only a 6? for all the shit it does right - some of the humor, the action sequences, etc, it does too much wrong...

in short, the film was too painful to watch at times... they were just TOO clueless and idiotic at times it just hurt.

so yeah, good but painful, its the kinda film where i laughed and generally enjoyed it, but its not the kind of film id want to watch again.

knight and day is next on the block. hope its better.

Rewatching "We feed the world" ...
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0478324/

a small clip.

Quote:
The film ends with an interview with the CEO of Nestlé, the largest food manufacturer in the world, who muses on "attaching a value" to water, and calls the position of the NGOs, that access to clean water is a human right, "extreme". After bragging how many jobs his corporation is creating, and how many families it is supporting, he glances at an informational video of one of Nestlé's Japanese factories, and marvels how it is so roboticized. "Hardly any people," he crows.

Robin Hood - 7/10

Exactly what I expected (Ridley Scott sword fighting type movie), can't believe some of you thought it was 2/10 terrible :/ Could have used more blood though Smile
