It's been a while since I experienced such an addicting game, and the hilarious part is that the PES2011 demo is practically abandoned somewhere on my hdd
Yep, same here, long time since I loved something so much for so long at such short timespan And I already shift-deleted PES demo, it was so rough that I just couldn't play it anymore
its not lightyears away lol... compare the defense on fifa and pes, in fifa u can pass the ball around in your half for ages and the computer will never get it...but pes, the ai will actually put pressure on u.
but anyways, its not light years away, PES is still fun, if not more fun when playing with friends.
But who says i'll play vs computer? f*ck singleplayer, who wants singleplayer experience nowadays? PES is an arcade game, fifa is a football simulator game. now its up to you to choose what you want from a game. Wrote down the things close to reality that happens on PES.. just nothing. I was a PES fan since ISS on PSX and a FIFA hater, played all since FIFA 94 and we have to be fair, FIFA is a lot lot lot lot lot better.
Well i play single player but with a buddy on one team, vs the comp, thats just as fun as playing on the net. I'm not saying that fifa sucks, but ur basically saying that PES sucks lol...that's not fair. Besides, PES is playable, more so than 2010, and has many improvements, and i dont know about talking about which game is closer to real life, lets face it, they r both pretty far off from real life, i dont know when they will be even close to real life.

That was unfair. To call him a fanboy when he is trying to be objective and reasonable just makes you look like a troll. And you are making the exact same points about the other game, so you're also a hypocrite. I can't really dribble a man...in the last 2 levels of difficulty (professional and world class if i remember well) i can't dribbling a single man and i loose every time (alway played PES till now)...
Any Tips to do simple dribbling and get pass the man?
Even when fifa animations look a lot better, i keep having te feeling when i press the shoot button, it tells te computer: shoot the ball. And then does it. In PES i feel like when i push the button i shoot the ball. Having direct control or not.
But compared to other sports games, they both suck...

in pes 2011 you actually need need some inspiration and thought to score a goal because this time it's harder but hey.. not anyone can be a footballer in real life ! likewise not everybody can play pes.

Once the game fucked with me with late booking. I get the advantage at some point, but when i actually make the cross - a promising one, obviously - the referee decides to give me the free kick after all... FFUUU
In fact, Fifa makes wrong calls here all the time. And enemies tackle through my back as well. Pretty annoying...
Definitely fake and unrealistic, Amauri would be never so smart!

The referee remembers of any faul committed, and doesn't esitate to book the incriminated player when the action ends...even if the action itself lasts several minutes!

thats why i wrote "he didnt participate in the last play", and not even in the 30 seconds of the replay.
Cartoonish or not the game is much less "boundaried" than pes.
After years of pes, now if i can think something to do on the field i can do it, almost without limits, or anyway less limits than pes.
Game has its flaws, course, but ATM its more complete than pes.
To prove my point, try to play a pes11 match after some of fifa11.

It's possible to dribble quite easily without using special tricks if you're controlling high-skilled players like Messi, Ronaldo etc. , as for the "normal players" you can simply try some fancy tricks and see what happens (check the ingame Help to know how to peform them).
so i never was one for choosing one of the both franchises, they both had their strengths, but usually FIFA for PC sucked big time.
i installed both demos, PES 2011 and FIFA 2011
and seriously, i played both, and PES 2011 went to the trash bin after a few matches.
PES 2011 has a lot of strengths in the presentation, but its very arcade'ish and just doesnt feel as good as FIFA 2011.
FIFA 2011 for PC is the first FIFA since.. forever, that's actually good, nah, its more than good, its great! i never played any demo of any game so much.
