Not gonna say who it is, but for the people who finished it, send me an PM or [ spoiler ] it here plx
Edit*
I think it's the last boss, but i'll spoiler it here just in case it's not the final one yet ;P
Spoiler: | I'm talking about the fight with the dude * forgot his name * after he shoots the reporter in her head.
He's on the roof, throwing fircrackers, and calling in artillery, and when i climp on the scaffolding he's on, he always punches me off, i cannot use melee weapons because he'll disarm me.
And when i try to punch him his health goes down SO slow that it's not really working.
So any tactics?
|
|
Here's what I did
Spoiler: | That's not the final boss . Also just drop kick him and shoot him with a gun when he falls to his knee. If you don't have drop kick then I suggest you level till you get it. |
|
Yeah i figured the dropkick was the key.
That how i have beaten him
and now... TADA!!! i'm stuck @ the last last boss
Spoiler: | TK just owns me, i start with full health and no weapon ( duh ) and hitting him with fists won't help, dropping kicking = no dice.
I went to the other platform and got the moosehead, but nope.
And to make it all worse i have to save my daugthe and the CURE leader before they get eaten..
I must miss something, but i cannot see what.
Even stunning him after the damn charge, pinned, quicktime event there's nothing i can do that will acctually hit him.
I even though about luring him to the fireworks stuff, and use it, but i can't.
Help?

Spoiler: | Climb over the fence in either direction, there's wrenches and pipes laying around. Use those to attack him when hes laughing and then dodge when he starts to attack. Also get a ton of hits on him when he does that charge on you after the quick time. There's also juice and food lying around so grab those and run around till he sets off the fireworks and heal yourself as he wont attack you and you can just keep running in a circle. The way the daughter/girl falls you can run up and pull the wrench up when TK goes downstairs, but even if you don't do that there's enough time to kill him |

They've made it significantly easier than DR1 imo. Zombies seem slightly more reluctant to come at you in large numbers. Not that I'm complaining; the AI when rescuing people is still as retarded as the first so it's a welcome break.
Also, the save system has made it easier as you can have multiple saves and now it even asks you to save at the start of an "episode". I didn't mind the old save system other than it sucked time out of the game as you had to battle to somewhere just to save. Now its simple enough.
I do like running into large groups of Zombies with one of those wasps thingies though.

he's actually not that hard, just
Spoiler: | make sure you have 2 good dmg weapons (like nail bats or hammers) and at least 3-4 strong healing items and go get him. his regeneration isn't a problem as long as you keep the pressure up. |

yeah but as soon as I start hitting him he whacks me with the pan then pounces on me, this taking like 4 health bars off, then he totters off and gets 100% health.

Benny_Blanco wrote: | well the fps drop is not the major issue, in fact when there's too much things to render you got a fps drop for sure, but also something i would call by screen tearing, but sooo massive it's weird, never saw something like that, it's hard to describe, like the upper half of the picture is getting a few late images, well my english is too bad to explain it i guess :o
gonnay play a bit more and grab the 360 version if it's too annoying. |
weird.
I remember having a big screen tearing issue with resident evil 5 on ps3 when the ps3 was set to 1080. After setting it to 720 and letting the tv handle the upscaling it worked perfectly.
maybe that helps here too?

Thanks , that solved the issue, seems that it asks a lot less power to the ps3, fans don't go full speed as fast as before.
Gotta find how to upscale signal , my tv (samsung c6000) output 1280x720 now, well that's what the info frame says

Same story with DR1; it has massive screen tearing on 1080p. After setting the x360 display to 720p, it worked great.

I actually died on this guy like 3 times today and the only advice I read somewhere was to roll away before he strikes.
Problem is that as far as I can tell I have no dodge/roll move yet and time for this mission is running low.
It seems impossible to me to avoid his attacks and he does insane damage so now I'm thinking about just forgetting about the cases and forgetting about doing all the side missions and just running around, leveling up, searching for zombrex and stuff instead, then play through again with a higher level so I can handle stuff like this guy without going insane.

yeah that worked. grabbed some hamburgers and stuff and managed to kill him.
I still felt pretty helpless against the guy though. He just jumps at me and hits me and there's nothing I can do about it.
I find it generally annoying that the problems from the first game are still here. Reminds me of lost planet 2 in how it had so much potential but they still didnt managed to fix the issues of the first game.
I miss stuff here like a true sandbox mode or a minimap. and why is there no voice-overs for the guys you rescue or the phone calls... everyone just throws some text at you with zombies all around you... kills the atmosphere and is genereally just lame in this day and age. I can understand no voiceovers at times for large RPGs and stuff with lots and lots of dialogue, but here it makes no sense.. like it's some budget game....
it also annoys me that the game encourages exploration with all the hidden items you can find, but then it discourages it with it's time limits. you're always going somewhere and have no time to explore or you risk missing a time limit for some potentially important mission.
but maybe that's just me playing too slow, I dunno.

Exactly what i think about the game. It would be really nice to explore the places but there is simply no time for that.

That's not related to Dead Rising, it's Capcom's Framework MT engine. Resident Evil 5 and Devil May Cry 4 behave the same way.

get the broadsword from the casino right next to the bbq place...it's fairly quick and does good damage, pummeled him down with it in no time

RE5 had some screen tearing , but not like DR1, witch was unplayable until I got it fixed.
I'm talking about the x360 version, don't know about the PS3.

It is a known issue of the X360 version of the MT Framwork engine, the Lost Planet games have the same tearing when you upscale via console.
