Nope, I've always been a Gamespot member and I logged in, clicked "get key" or whatever and saw this;

Games - Activate a product -> here you copy/paste the serial.
After that it should give a download screen.
(Steam://install/35130 for the main game or 35150 for the demo/trial, think the latter is used, *40* is Arkham Asylum.)
(Steam being fully up to date but it auto updates so it should be and there's no beta releases either.)

Strange, wonder what the problem could be with that, for the other issue try using IE (Firefox 3.6.10 also worked, that's what I used.) and see if it goes trough.
EDIT: Norway as a non-EU country perhaps though that seems far-fetched.
(US/EU/UK only or some such silly thing by Steam could be it though.)

Oooh.... I tried this one "Steam://install/35130" (for the full link, as you said) and the demo finally appeared! Seems 35150 doesn't work for me. Thanks JB <3
2.8GB though, dayum...

I just played the demo for a bit, and just..wow. Good, old fashioned platforming and puzzling mixed with some action. It's not perfect, and it has been derpified a bit (there's jumping assistance ), but I definitely will enjoy this

How many levels does the demo have? Because I figured I'd buy it (14 euros and a free copy of TR:L), and the game just launched. Not the demo, but the actual game launched, just started the 2nd act/level

That's what I mean with the above "update", you just get the first level otherwise EDIT: instead of all 14.
(Thanks for verifying it actually worked and helping explain this, unsure if it can just be used without being cracked first, loader or emulator might go.)
(Gamespot did mentioned you could play early but I expected that to be next week sometime a day or so before launch.)
EDIT: And that's another title to the collection then, balanced by F1 (not very much a racing gamer though.) and Lost Planet that will be acquired via different means (Capcom supported via DR2 but the LP2 stuff is a bit annoying delay and MP focus so it gets that treatment.) Arcania might get the same depending on what else happens this month plus the recent news about it and Two Worlds 2 will be left alone for now and should ship from Deutchland sometime late next month.
(Blade Kitten tomorrow and Civ V whenever I either get the NCF's or a release to "convert" the preload data or Friday unless other stuff happens, Evochron was bought but still waiting on a fix for that issue, not much else this month to early next month left, X3 superbox I already own via the separate releases and the bonus content isn't interesting as such and GoG died so that's out altogether, HawX 2 can go and wait as I'm not a flight person either plus the DRM, eventually it might be playable though.)

Weirdly enough, when looking a the camera positioning and some gfx, it DOES makes one think of Diablo (3). But obviously it's far from it.
WSAD controlling a la "third-person" but with fixed top camera, with action (shooting, explosions, etc.), destructive stuff and all sort of achievement drops (gems, skulls) and, of course, some platforming.
Interesting so far. And personally being mostly in an RPG games "fever" atm, can't say and probably won't play more (than a few minutes).
EDIT
Come to think of it, while cutting mercilessly through subjectivity, this might be really worth playing.
