holy hell is it bug ridden, game is fun but only when it doesn't crash. So far installed it on 3 seperate machines with 3 seperate OSes, (Vista Home x64, XP Pro, and 7 Ultimate x86) and it's caused issues on all of them, bsods bugs of various kinds.Biggest problem so far is that there appears to be a bug with the DX10/11 mode where you can't even launch it, gives you an error about needing to have Vista SP2(even on 7). My main complaint right now is the interface, being used to CivIV with all the info on screen it's kind of annoying having this minimalistic GUI that reminds me of an iPhone. Looks nice to be sure(the whole game is amazing to look at, and don't even get me started on the sounds and music), but it's functionally lacking in my opinion, I don't like having to hunt for features and information windows.

I only played the demo, but that seemed to work well. didnt crash once.
Was running kinda slow though, had to set the resolution down a bit, and medium settings - ok, my system is a few years old, so no biggie.

Sorry. It was late, I was tired and full of non-release rage. So much so that I failed to notice the glaring banner at the bottom. If I give you some money from my wallet will it make things better? Laughing

On that note, it is now 5:30 AM, year 1, day 2. If there's no release in the next hour or so I'm buying this motherfucker. I know it will be released no more than 5 minutes after I fucking buy it - so hang tight guys - it's almost there! Very Happy

Yup. Britain has Henry VIII, Russia Ivan the Terrible and France Gilles de Rais.

Russia used to have Stalin in Civilization games, so lack of Hitler was kind of strange.

Played the game for 4 hours last night, had no problems at all. Decided to buy the game considering how often I plan on playing it.

Played the demo, and graphics in DX9 mode is nothing special to be honest. And, anyone knows why I can't turn on FSAA? All options on high.

It lets me toggle MSAA in DX10/11 mode - so that's strange.

Then again, DX-11 mode sees my 3.5Ghz Quad/ GTX 460 SLI setup dip into the low 30's when zoomed in. It's not like framerate is important in this type of game, I'm just not sure what the fuck is THAT graphically intensive to warrant it.

Is it any prettier in DX10/11 mode? To be honest it's the first game that makes me wondering if I should move from good, old XP to Windows7.

Not really. Some engines just don't support AA in DX9 mode.

Sure....but from a fidelity standpoint, Crysis this is not. Not reason for it not to support such a basic feature in DX9.

You can fix the DX10/11 issue by going into the Steam folder and right click properties the steam.exe. You'll notice that Vista compatibility is enabled. Disable compatibility mode and you can launch the game in DX10/11

Also update to the latest Nvidia drivers. I was on older ones and the game CRAWLED in DX10/11 mode. Once I went to the latest drivers it was fine.

Seems like it, i think it has lots of triggers or something.
Cause i for the love off god cannot understand why else this takes so long to realse Smile

ESP since darksiders and F1 both steam protected games are already out.

AA in DX9 was a disaster anyways. Enabling it would just make the game unbearably slow.

To be honest I don't think it looks too much better other than some water effects in DX10/11. You do also get AA modes in DX10/11 which isn't available in DX9 mode.
