Rotfl, just finished Bahrain race. I signed up with HRT, did 2 laps in practice, then jumped into Quali. Took 4th place and then won race after 15 laps. All this on default setup. Ridicoulous, but game is quite entertaining, I think I'll sink with it for a longer time. Glad I pre-ordered it.

seems theres something fk'd with the axis settings for g25 (at least for me)

f1 2010 g25 accelerate axis is INVERSE Y-AXIS = car rev's but wont move off the line.

in dirt2 which i've also just installed to check my wheels working,
the default axis for accelerate was not working at all,
had to rebind accelerate key & it set it as LOWER axisslider0 & worked.

so why is the axis settings different in f1 2010 & dirt2 for their default g25 controls compared to my wheels default settings.

not used my wheel since badcompany 2 was released in march so i'm back to being a complete nub at setting up my wheel Sad

I'm using a G25 here and it's working fine, try resetting all your control options, there will be a preset for the G25 as well.

If you're sitting there revving on the line then you must be stuck in neutral or something.

what cpu do you have? its its 3 or 6 core the game thinks its a single core cpu without a copy /paste fix into one of the files.

if the game thinks your cpu is to weak theres a setting that isnt changeable ingame
<graphics_detail level="high" />
gets set to low even if u have everything set to high/ ultra ingame.

game still looks pretty shit though

Yes, and it's only getting worse as they are apparently introducing those family car motors in 2013... Come on, 1.6 litre motors for the King of motorsports!?

default g25 settings in f1 2010 & dirt2 the accelerate/brake axis are different to what my g25 is set to,
gonna delete & reinstall g25 driver see if somethings gone wrong with that,as 2 games from the same company's g25 default profiles are using different axis to what my wheel wants to aset them as.

typical piss about day just to get a game working Sad

thanks Cyborgmatt for info on yours working ok,least i know its not the games.

I'm going to buy the logietech gt steering wheel n pedals for this.

i didn't install the game yet but i got my new logitech g27 month ago and as people told me , all the racing games i already throw away as a keyboard driver will return into my harddrive like mushrooms after the rain simple as that: with ffb wheel (and not to talk of the logitech g25/27 clutch brake and gass pedales so you really feels like you are actualy shifting) racing games become something completly diffrent and it is something to sit on your hard drive and you play it every once in a while or even every day...depends what kind of driver you are:)

so...i have learn lately, that racing games are not the same at all without good ffb wheel.

Totally agree mate.
The force feebacjk if good on the wheel alone will make the game much more fun and real.
Mine should be here tomorrow now Smile
So that' f1 2010 I've bought, sony ps3 move starter pack and navigator, this gt steering wheel.
I'll be broke soon lol, but atl east i have them and can use them when needed Smile
Gran tourismo 5 doesn't really appeal to me tbh.
There's not collision damage for a start so how the fuck is this simulation of the sport?
Looks the bollocks granted but I'm not totally for it.
Might still buy it if this wheel is as good as what everyone says there are for gaming Smile

The point of the pics was that you can have it look good in DX9 as well, no need for DX11 hacks.

I can't remember threads being as useless as this one and the FIFA/PES ones.

NFOHump forums are going downhill. We need moderator listings and getting some loyal members there, and soon, or most of the older ones won't be bothering to visit anymore.

Those childish arguments and flame wars have gone on for far too long. You can't find any useful information anymore.

My combined peddles is off, that shouldn't be on really, that will probably be your problem.

F1 2010: The Final Lap
Q&A

Eurogamer: Have you got any plans for DLC, or is it all about pushing on with '11?

Quote:
Stephen Hood: We're not doing DLC, but... we might update the game after it's out. I'd love to be able to do that. DLC we're not planning to do with this one, because Paul and I have already started on '11 now... There are some other exciting things that we want to play around with.

Paul Jeal: Yeah, it just would have taken too much development time.. the dev cycle for a yearly iteration is so short when you factor in the sign-offs and all that stuff, anyway, that we just want to get our teeth stuck into it.

So we'll have an 'yearly' f1 game :s
Can't see how this game is going to be any different then next years game?
And he said , he 'might' update the game?
If he means patches?, then he will 'have to', or lose his customers?
If he means 'add things' to the game then fair play.
