So how long do things stay when they're dropped. Got stun locked by a skeleton deep in the ground sped down there as fast as I can (stopping only to grab a sword, some torches and some iron armor, and a little bread) but when I got there nothing I'd dropped was there. The last 2-3 times I died I was able to recover everything.
Which sucks because I'd finally found like 5 diamonds..

I hope as the game gets closer to retail Notch actually adds tons more things and stuff to do |
Pretty much, you can activate monsters for MP but you cant kill em, and they cant kill you.
He is going to add tons of stuff, what you see in SP will end up being in MP.

people buying this thing like crazy.
Though I still think he should have seen a rise in sales coming this is beyond anything remotely imaginable.

his latest update borked the sound again. This time it can't be fixed just by copying some files. He's gotta fix the launcher, which means its half unplayable.
at least in SP mode
intel ultra 7 265k, 64gb ram, 3070

In what respect? If you play survival mode cooperatively then player to player dmg wouldn't even be a factor...

Not PvP damage, but ALL damage. Not much survival in it if you're immortal (not that the survival in SP is all that challenging in its current state either).

Paying through Paypal is currently the only way to purchase the game. So in order to get away with paying $13.1746 instead of $13.59 your saying there is an option within Paypal to let me bank handle the currency conversion. This makes little since because I am using Paypal services to transfer the money so how the hell does my bank have anything to do with the currency conversion?

actually NPCs can die from certain things. Falling damage seems to be somewhat implemented for them. Fire should bring em down as well.

@Ci2e
If by improved graphics you actually mean a programming language that is not Java, I agree
@Nui
yeah, you go ahead and try to light a arrow shooting skeleton or a creeper on fire. Have fun with that.

yes but that doesn't fix it..it's not the launcher apparently it's a backend file that was altered.

Even though when I launch it, it then asks for your login information, and I was bypassing that screen entirely forcing it to play offline (w/out updating) ?
Now that I have purchased the game I used my login information and I witnessed the client auto-update which is why my sound is not working now...

If you're on windows, you could probably redirect the minecraft.net adress to localhost in your hosts file. Don't know how this works with other OS's though.

sound fix at least temporary, no internet disconnect.
Last update added F3 ( debug mode )
Load world HOLD down F3 + S key SHOULD return sounds to normal. May have to adjust slider in options, sometimes at really low % ( mine was at 3%) at least sounds work. Didnt have any music even tho that was normal.
The other thing is to check resources folder, and make sure its not empty. IF it is just restore from earlier version. Also check .minecraft\bin\natives for openalXX.dll if not there then d/l and install openAL. reported to fix sound as well.
Well F3+S works but has to be done every time you load a level..
