Wasn't release yesterday?

In the US it was. Not sure about the rest of the world.

Was posted one or two pages back, held up from it's first expected patch addin with the PC and PS3 release (X360 released a month ago as a timed exclusive.) and will possibly be a DLC (There's a number of DLC listings for the game.) later on, for now there's only two player one with KB and the other with Gamepad type of play.

Absolutely flawless, mate =) I've been playing the 360 version alone and had no issues whatsoever. It's every bit an SP game as well as a coop one.

God fucking dammit. Release date is 28th in EU. Just when I wanted to buy it (great review on GT.com), they pissed me off. In this day and age with digital distribution and shit, release dates should be global already. I'll just leech it I guess.

I don't see a demo for it in Steam. Did they remove it maybe?

Sorry if I sound stupid....
I got the key and added it to Steam and am now downloading the demo. Will this be the full version or do I need to delete something and grab something else. Also what about Legacy?
In the words of Steve Martin, "I'm SOOOOOOO Confused!"
? Thanks all.

Why would you get TR-L for free when you download a demo? That makes no sense, so of course not.. and no, it's not the full version either. It's a demo. All the key is for is to give you early access, rather than waiting for it to go completely public on the store.

I mentioned some of how it was set up along with a response to another user on the previous page, it's the same data but the exe differs and makes it into a trial or demo version (Exe provided in a post as a sort of update.) though it would need a proper crack to function, just replacing won't work or some loader/emulator utility if it's not blocked via other protection like CEG or what it was called.
Haven't played much yet due to the many other games available, also started with Blade Kitten and Alien Breed Ep2 just recently and then there's Darksiders and Civ 5 and so on.

I'm a bit (actually very) confused now. You can get some key via Gamespot's website which allows you to snatch the demo off Steam which is practically the full game that you unlock using the demo?
I don't get it.

Get a serial from gamespot --> download demo from steam (after unlocking it with teh gamespot serial) --> purchase the preorder --> rightclick on the game in your games list and click install. Several files will be updated/replaced and you'll have the full version.

I just missed the PURCHASE part. lol
I'm not a total moron. In my defense, my kids were distracting me while I read the last page.

I've played it for an hour maybe, it's really worth the 15 bucks. You even get TR:L with it, I didn't play that one. So I get a great little game and a good full game for 15 euros, that's nothing. It's funny that I'm having a much better time with a mod (Nehrim) and a supposedly arcade game (Tomb Raider) than with most AAA titles.

I find it even funnier how the "physics" in this game are much more obvious AND important than in a high-profile PhysX piece of shit like Mafia 2
Seriously though, this is by far the most fun I've had with a game in quite some time. For me this is the game of the year so far, because everything else has been so bad. It's no Crysis in terms of graphics, but does look quite good and at least it supports proper anti-aliasing, unlike certain AAA titles we've had in the past year. The sound however is surprisingly good to be honest!
As far as I'm concerned, Crystal Dynamics can keep doing this. Brings them right back up there where they belong after games like Pandemonium, Soul Reaver or even Gex.
Edit:
Spoiler: | It seems one of the puzzles is broken though; in Stronghold Passage, the challenge tomb with all the spikes. Seems to me there should be a tile that doesn't have spikes in both states of the maze, but either I've gone blind or it's simply not there. I checked some videos and screenshots of the XBOX version, but it is COMPLETELY different there.
Figured all the other puzzles out on my own, but this one is better than I am |
