^Wrong thread dude
Dead god someone with a decent connection, put something up on usenet! It would take 10 minutes and then we'd all have something tangible to bash our heads at. Especially if it's as easy as using RevLoader! I guess they're all playing

If it makes anyone feel any better, I just got through raping and pillaging some Romans! Before the day was out, they were all bowing before the glorious Aman'Ra!
On a lighter note, Epic speed is sure a hell of a lot different than standard, despite the description. I'm starting to have production issues, can't get the new cities up and running fast enough even if I bring along workers to improve the tiles. That, and my army of about 5 units and a general put me in the red. May have won a city or two...but things are lookin bleak.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Same. Pretty much sale/no sale comes down to whichever is first.
Which is sad because the game is out already and normally I do actually buy games that I know I'm going to enjoy a long time.

Eh heh heh.
Can't wait to see the first fantasy / MoM remake mod for Civ V that blows away Elemental. Still on the fence about buying Civ V though. It does look pretty. And hexes ... but so much money!

I can't seem to get the mod for the +100 turns in the Demo. Can someone PM me a confirmed way to get this working or re-post it. I tried the Editing of the file as well as the trainer that was posted. Thanks guys

Good fantasy mods coming? Sure, blow elemental out of the water? How exactly, they are still somewhat far from being the same game.

Development wise Civ 5 demo is more of a game than Elemental is 8 patches in.

That could be true, but that was not the question.

Better make sure the next poster posts a release name and nfo or ... or ... or else. Fuck it. How come has the scene NOT released this game yet, this much anticipated game yet!?!?

Maybe its hard to crack? But still this seems unusual, and as I type this I feel slightly annoyed that they haven't released it. Not that I am eager to play, but whats taking so long? Then it hits me how selfish and stupid I am, like I deserve and have a right to complain for something people do for free. *bashes head*

Good point. Elemental isn't really a game at this point, it's more of an unfinished reskin of GalCiv 2 prior to expansions. Which was pretty terrible.
But really? Not the same game? Of course they aren't. My point is that Civ V has a better chance of delivering a quality fantasy TBS than Elemental ... unless Stardock forces it through a comprehensive redesign. Possible, but not anytime soon. I thought it was a pretty fair comparison to make.
The thing that bugs me most about Civ V right now is the damned DLC-sized holes all over the place.
(PS -- Imoen is from my second favorite RPG series ever, gonna have to replay it soon.)
