Is this normal that the FTP copying from PC to PS takes about 20 minutes a file (700mb)?
Its connected directly with a standard cat5 cable....is crossover cable faster?

Well now, I put my PSJB for sale on a well known website here in Holland and it was removed within an hour.

OMG OMG OMG at that news. Cutting off all of those perfectly legitimate playstation controllers - just cause their third party. You wait until the law suits start flying around.
TERRIBLE MOVE SONY. As if it'll have any effect on those of us that plan to hack. The hackers will just modify the firmware and release a cracked version, that doesnt have this stupid functionality.

The lawsuits won't do jack shit, I'm afraid. Microsoft did the same thing with 3rd party memory units a few months back... they blocked them completely and got away with it too.

Actually, it does work on external... you just need to run it, and install the game data, from internal first. Once that's done, you can move the game to external and play fine. According to various sources at least. And the patch is borked also, wipes save games and freezes the game randomly. There's a complaints thread about it on the official PS3 forum.

I think they're in the same place as "Game Data" (in fact I'm positive of it) so you can delete that and it won't affect saves... though you will lose the optional install data from the game itself.
