I'm DLing release for GOW3:
PS3 God of War 3 RUSSOUND,that is the fast torrent I found... anyone confirmed if it's working fine,and there is English support?

The copy I downloaded had Russian support as well as English.
So it may do.

but yeah, it makes little difference with PS3 games, but (for example) I downloaded Silent Hill 2 (xbox) for the wife 2 days ago and that was over 600 days old.
I am happy to pay a little extra for that to be honest.

So.. I've been foolishly waiting for an iPhone/PSP hack. Probably wont happen for months. So I've just bought a minimus... could someone get me up to speed with what's needed to program this thing? I'm too lazy to search through the last few dozen pages.
edit: nevermind, found it in seconds I can't believe this info is so easily accessible, no wonder Sony did a desperate USB block so suddenly lol.

I'm thinking of getting a PS3 now because of the fact that it has been hacked but i got a few quick questions im hoping to get answered...
How is it looking right now, is it something Sony can fix within the near future or do we finally have a permanent solution?
Is it easy to get hold off the components necassery to hack your PS3? I heard something about Sony stopping all shipments from HK etc.
Sorry for asking these general questions but there's about 70 pages..

The current situation is that only 3.41 has been "hacked". All consequent (3.42 and 3.50) are as of yet unhacked. There is a possibility that this will go the PSP route where custom firmwares of newer sony firmwares will be made available, but thats all speculation and wishful thinking at the moment. We will see how newer games will handle the firmware situation, forced firmwares were usual on the PSP. The method to circumvent that will come as we see those releases coming out.
There is a whole list of devices that can be used to jailbreak your 3.41 PS3 at the moment, from android phones, to ipods/iphones and of course the dedicated usb sticks, which are widely available from all sorts of different places. Just check a few pages back in this thread.
ps3-hacks.com ps3hax.net ps3news.com are good resources to start.

I still wont pay $300 for a PS3. Cheapest 'used' one is $250+tax so thats not even a bargain. I still need to buy the usb dongle as all these 'devices' are not too common. I dont have a TI-84 calculator or anything that starts with I.. XBOX360 is $199 new. There is no reason why Sony must keep the price so high. So glad it got hacked. Ill stick with my PSP for now.

hahah well don't buy from gamekool. i disputed it with paypal and told them i knew it was a knockoff and couldn't be updated. their reply:

they changed their product info page. if you look at it now it doesn't say updateable under the features anymore BUT it still says updateable in the 2nd paragraph on the page. BUT google cache won't lie:

has it plain as day under the ps3 break features. i replied with that info. hopefully they will go ahead and refund my money if not i'm just going to escalate it to a claim. pretty funny that they tried to change the features info and remove updateable but being as how engrish is a second language to them it still says updateable just a little bit above it. classic!

Just got myself a second ps3key since it hadnt arrived in a shop and i won't wait another weekend. Was a 2hour drive but FUCK IT.
It works BRILLIANT!!
